Central Provincial Council Ministry of Education Invitation for Bids 2026 – School Building & Repair Projects
The Central Provincial Council – Chief Ministry and Ministry of Education has published an Invitation for Bids (IFB) under National Competitive Bidding (NCB) for several school construction, classroom development, toilet block, roof repair, retaining wall, and maintenance projects in the Central Province. Eligible and qualified bidders registered with CIDA may submit bids for the projects listed below before the closing date. Eligibility
Requirement: Successful bidders should not have been blacklisted and must be registered with the Construction Industry Development Authority (CIDA) in the relevant grade mentioned for each project.

Bid Security
Bid security should be accompanied as prescribed in the bid document, obtained from a commercial bank approved by the Central Bank of Sri Lanka, or from the Construction Guarantee Fund (CGF), or paid in cash as mentioned in the notice.
Special Note
Bids of bidders who have not fulfilled the specified technical, financial and other qualification requirements will be rejected. If the bid value exceeds Rs. 5 million, the successful bidder should submit a registration certificate issued by the Registrar of Companies under chapter 8 of the Public Contracts Act No. 3 of 1987.
