Course Details

Applications are invited from Sri Lankan males and females for the National Diploma in Floriculture and Landscape Gardening Technology - NVQ Level 5 conducted by the School of Floriculture and Landscape Gardening, Department of National Botanic Gardens, Peradeniya.

An interview and/or written entrance examination will be held for the selection of students.

Eligibility Requirements

Candidates should satisfy one of the following requirements:

• NVQ Level 4 in Landscaping Technician / Landscape Development Assistant
• NVQ Level 4 in a relevant field from a recognized institution approved by the Tertiary and Vocational Education Commission
• G.C.E. Advanced Level Examination with three simple passes in one sitting under Bio Science / Physical Science Mathematics / Technology stream

Compulsory: Credit pass in English Language at G.C.E. Ordinary Level Examination.

Age: Between 18 - 35 years

Medium: English

Duration: 1 year theory and practical full time

Industrial Training: 6 months OJT in Department of National Botanic Gardens or relevant institution in the field

Accommodation: Will not be provided

Course Fee: Rs. 25,000/=
