Annual Computer Literacy Statistics 2020

Annual Computer Literacy Statistics of Srilanka for the year of 2020 has been released.

Computer literacy
A person (aged 5-69) is considered as a computer literate person if he/she could use computer on his/her own. For example, even if a 5 years old child can play a computer game then he/she is considered as a computer literate person.

Digital literacy
A person (aged 5-69) is considered as a digital literate person if he/she could use computer, lap top, tablet or smartphone on his/her own.

Information on Sri Lankan Currency Notes

The Central Bank of Sri Lanka has the sole right and authority to issue currency in Sri Lanka as stipulated in the Monetary Law Act No. 58 of 1949.

After the establishment of the Central Bank of Sri Lanka in 1950, eleven note series have been issued

The theme of the eleventh series of notes issued in 2010 is “Development, Prosperity and Sri Lankan Dancers”.

2010 දී වසරේදී නිකුත් කරන ලද එකොළොස් වන මුදල් නෝට්ටු කාණ්ඩයේ තේමාව වනුයේ “සංවර්ධනය, සෞභාග්‍ය සහ ශ්‍රී ලංකාවේ නැටුම් ශිල්පීන්” යන්නයි

Between 1901 and 2018, the Nobel Prizes and the Prize in Economic Sciences were awarded 590 times to 935 people and organisations. The Nobel Prize is an international award administered by the Nobel Foundation in Stockholm, Sweden, and based on the fortune of Alfred Nobel, Swedish inventor and entrepreneur. In 1968, Sveriges Riksbank established The Sveriges Riksbank Prize in Economic Sciences in Memory of Alfred Nobel, founder of the Nobel Prize. Each prize consists of a medal, a personal diploma, and a cash award.
