01. Senior Assistant Registrar (Legal & Documentation)
Qualification Option 1: Attorney-at-Law with a Bachelor’s Degree in Law from a recognized University / HEI and a minimum of 5 years post-qualifying experience in court work, legal work and drafting legal documentation in a state or reputed private sector organization.
OR
Qualification Option 2: Attorney-at-Law with a minimum of 10 years post-qualifying experience in court work, legal work and drafting legal documentation in a state or reputed private sector organization.
Note: Experience means handling court work / legal work / legal drafting in executive capacity in a state or reputed private sector organization.
02. Instructor in English (Grade III)
Any one of the following qualifications:
1. A Special Degree in English
2. A General Degree with English Language as a subject
3. A Special / General Degree with a Diploma in English of not less than 18 months from a University or UGC recognized HEI
4. Postgraduate Diploma / Masters in Teaching of English as a Second Language from University of Colombo / Open University of Sri Lanka or equivalent qualification of not less than 1 year duration
5. Trained Teachers' Certificate in English with at least 3 years experience after training
6. Specialist English Trained Teachers' Certificate with at least 3 years experience after training
7. National Diploma in Teaching English as a Second Language with at least 3 years post-qualifying teaching experience
8. Higher National Diploma in English of not less than 2 years duration offered by SLIATE with at least 3 years post-qualifying teaching experience
03. Pharmacist (Lower Grade)
Certificate of competence as a qualified Pharmacist recognized by the Sri Lanka Medical Council.
04. Public Health Inspector (Grade III)
Should have passed the Public Health Inspectors Examination conducted by the Department of Health.
05. Technical Officer (Grade II Segment “B”)
Qualification 1: Three G.C.E. A/L passes in science subjects in one sitting. Subject combinations will be decided by the relevant faculty / department.
AND
Qualification 2: Passed a skill-oriented formal training programme relevant to the post of at least 1 year full-time duration or equivalent.
Note: Appointment under Segment B will first be as Trainee Technical Officer for 3 years on fixed salary of Rs. 51,095 + allowances. After training, those who gain competence in laboratory techniques, inventory maintenance and ability to type in English will be confirmed to the permanent post.
Preference: Registered as a Medical Laboratory Technologist (MLT) with the Sri Lanka Medical Council (SLMC).
06. Management Assistant (Store-Keeping) (Grade III)
Basic Qualifications:
1. Passed G.C.E. O/L in 6 subjects at one sitting with credit passes in Sinhala/Tamil, English/English Literature and Mathematics.
2. Passed all subjects at G.C.E. A/L in one sitting except Common General Paper.
Post Specific Qualification: One year experience in store-keeping and/or pass in Commerce at O/L or Accountancy at A/L.
Preference:
a. Computer application qualification of at least 6 months from a recognized institute
b. Two years experience in use of computer application packages
Note: A security deposit must be furnished as determined by the UGC / Higher Educational Institution.
07. Driver (Grade III)
1. Passed G.C.E. O/L in 6 subjects with at least 2 credit passes in not more than 2 sittings.
2. Must possess heavy vehicle driving license issued by the Commissioner General of Motor Traffic.
3. Minimum 3 years experience in driving after obtaining the license.
08. Plumber (Grade III)
Must have obtained a proficiency certificate not below NVQ Level 4 issued by a Technical / Vocational training institute accepted by the Tertiary and Vocational Education Commission, relevant to the function of the post.
09. Mechanic (Grade III)
Must have obtained a proficiency certificate not below NVQ Level 4 issued by a Technical / Vocational training institute accepted by the Tertiary and Vocational Education Commission, relevant to the function of the post.
10. Tractor Operator (Grade III)
Option 1: Passed G.C.E. O/L in 6 subjects with at least 2 credit passes in not more than 2 sittings and obtained an NVQ Level 2 or 3 certificate relevant to the function of the post.
OR
Option 2: Passed G.C.E. O/L in 6 subjects with at least 2 credit passes in not more than 2 sittings and 1 year working experience in a relevant field with industrial skills.
AND
Minimum height: 5 feet 2½ inches
Good knowledge of Highway Code, physically fit for day and night duty, and good eyesight
Certificate of competence to drive all heavy vehicles and 3 years driving experience
