Basic Educational Qualification
- Applicants must have passed six subjects at the G.C.E. Ordinary Level Examination.
- The six subjects must include the medium language and Mathematics.
- The subjects must have been passed in not more than two sittings.
- An applicant who completed the examination in two sittings must have passed at least five subjects at the first sitting.
Professional Qualifications
Technical Posts
For most technical categories from post (a) to (p), and Stage Lighting Technician, applicants should possess one of the following:
- NVQ Level 03 certificate relevant to the field;
- A relevant training course of at least six months; or
- At least three years of relevant professional experience.
Antenna Installer
A relevant technical or vocational training course of at least six months from a government or government-recognised institution is required.
Bodybuilding Instructor
A recognised Bodybuilding Instructor course and two years of experience as a Bodybuilding Instructor are required.
Swimming Instructor
A recognised Swimming Instructor course and two years of professional experience as a Swimming Instructor are required.
Make-up Artist
A diploma in Makeup and Theatrical Make-up Art, together with at least one year of certified experience in makeup, is required.
Fitness Instructor
A recognised Fitness Instructor course or Diploma in Sports, together with two years of professional experience, is required.
Audio Technician
A recognised Sound Engineering course and one year of certified experience are required. Knowledge of music is an added qualification.
Stage Lighting Technician
One year of experience and proficiency in stage lighting must be confirmed through certificates.
Physical and Other Requirements
📏 Minimum Height
- Male: 5 feet 2 inches
- Female: 5 feet
Height concessions may be considered for applicants with special qualifications or competencies.
🎂 Age Limit
Applicants must be between 18 and 32 years of age as at the application closing date.
👁 Vision
Vision in one eye must not be below 6/12. Where one eye is 6/6, vision of 6/18 in the other eye may be accepted. Colour vision must be normal.
🩺 Fitness and Character
Applicants must be physically and mentally fit, possess excellent character, and be prepared to serve anywhere in Sri Lanka.
💍 Marital Status
Both married and unmarried male and female applicants may apply, subject to the gender specified for each specialist post.

ICT Posts – Educational Qualifications
For posts 01 to 10, applicants should have:
- Passed six subjects at the G.C.E. Ordinary Level Examination in one sitting.
- Four credit passes must include the medium language, Mathematics, Science and English.
- Passed any three subjects at the G.C.E. Advanced Level Examination in one sitting, excluding the General Test.
ICT Posts – Professional Qualifications
Applicants for Web Editor, Web Developer, System Analyst, Computer Software Package Instructor, Computer, Graphic Designing Instructor, Computer Hardware and Networking Instructor, Programmer, Network System Administrator and Database Administrator should possess:
- NVQ Level V Diploma relevant to the field; or
- An equivalent qualification recognised by the Tertiary and Vocational Education Commission; or
- A recognised computer literacy course covering file management, word processing, spreadsheets, presentations, databases, internet and email.
Applicants with an NVQ Level V qualification should generally possess at least six months of relevant experience. Applicants without professional qualifications should possess at least three years of relevant professional experience.
Qualifications for Other Specialist Posts
💊 Pharmacist
Applicants must satisfy the relevant G.C.E. O/L and A/L science qualifications or possess a recognised Pharmacy degree or diploma with full registration in the Sri Lanka Medical Council.
Professionally qualified applicants should generally possess at least six months of relevant experience.
🔧 Technician Domestic / Technician
Applicants should have passed six O/L subjects with four credit passes including the medium language and Mathematics, together with three A/L subjects.
A three-year NCT Civil Engineering course, an equivalent qualification or an NVQ Level IV qualification in the relevant field is required.
📐 Quantity Surveyor
Applicants should satisfy the stated O/L and A/L requirements and possess a three-year NCT Civil Engineering qualification, equivalent qualification or relevant NVQ qualification.
Qualified applicants should generally have six months of experience. Applicants without professional qualifications require three years of relevant experience.
🍽 Mess Controller
Applicants should complete a Restaurant Services course of at least six months and a Restaurant Management course of at least six months at NVQ Level V.
More than three years of restaurant supervisory experience at a star-class hotel is required.
📏 Draughtsman
Applicants should possess a three-year NCT Civil Engineering qualification, an equivalent qualification or a relevant NVQ Level V qualification.
Qualified applicants should generally possess six months of experience.
👨🍳 Chef
Applicants should complete a Restaurant Services course of at least six months and a Culinary or Cookery course of at least six months at NVQ Level V.
More than three years of supervisory-level experience as a chef at a star-class hotel is required.
🏏 Playground and Pitch Maintenance Instructor
Applicants should possess a recognised course of at least six months in playground and cricket pitch maintenance.
More than three years of relevant experience is required.

Applicants should satisfy the specified science qualifications or possess the recognised diploma and full registration in the Sri Lanka Medical Council.
Professionally qualified applicants should generally possess at least six months of relevant experience.
🔬 Medical Laboratory Technologist
Applicants should possess the specified science qualifications or complete a two-year Medical Laboratory Technology course under the Ministry of Health, or hold a recognised degree in Medical Laboratory Technology.
Full registration in the Sri Lanka Medical Council is required for professionally qualified applicants.
🩺 Nursing Officer
Applicants should possess the specified O/L and A/L qualifications or hold a recognised Nursing degree or a three-year Nursing diploma.
Full registration in the relevant Medical Council and applicable professional experience are required.

Physical Requirements
📏 Male Applicants
- Minimum height: 5 feet 6 inches
- Minimum chest measurement: 32 inches during expiration
