CIABOC Annual Declaration of Assets and Liabilities 2026

The Commission to Investigate Allegations of Bribery or Corruption (CIABOC) has officially launched its Centralized Electronic System for the submission of the Annual Declaration of Assets and Liabilities.

All persons required to submit declarations can now conveniently complete the process through the online platform.

📅 Important Dates

Declaration Date : Assets and Liabilities as at 31.03.2026

Submission Deadline : 30.06.2026

Declarations submitted on or before the above date will not incur any administrative fine.

Public Administration Circular 09/2025(I) on banning single-use plastic water bottles in government institutions Sri Lanka


The Ministry of Public Administration, Provincial Councils and Local Government has issued Public Administration Circular 09/2025(I) regarding the formalization of solid waste management activities in government institutions. According to this amendment circular, the purchase and use of single-use plastic water bottles in all government institutions must be completely discontinued with effect from 31.05.2026. Relevant Gazette Notifications and Circulars are provided below in Sinhala, Tamil and English languages.

Formalizing Solid Waste Management Activities in Government Institutions

Important Notice

The Ministry of Public Administration, Provincial Councils and Local Government has issued Public Administration Circular 09/2025(I) regarding the discontinuation of single-use plastic water bottles in all government institutions with effect from 31.05.2026.

All government institutions are also instructed to prevent the use of prohibited single-use plastics according to the relevant Gazette Notifications.

Key Highlights

  • Single-use plastic water bottles will be banned in all government institutions.
  • Effective Date – 31.05.2026
  • Issued by the Ministry of Public Administration, Provincial Councils and Local Government
  • Related Gazette Notifications have also been attached below.

Important Information

All Heads of Government Institutions are required to take necessary action to prevent the use of prohibited single-use plastics within their institutions according to the relevant Gazette Notifications.

This circular has been issued with the concurrence of the Ministry of Environment.

Agrahara Member Registration & Database Update 2026 – Mandatory for All Public Officers

 

Agrahara Member Registration and Database Update 2026 for Sri Lankan Public Officers

The National Insurance Trust Fund (NITF) has informed all public officers to mandatorily register or update their Agrahara member information and dependent details in the Agrahara database according to Public Administration Circular No. 12/2005(X) issued on 05.03.2026. All public officers must complete the process before 30.06.2026 through the official NITF website.

According to the Public Administration Circular No. 12/2005(X) issued on 05.03.2026, it is mandatory for all public officers to register their information and the information of their dependents in the Agrahara database.

Accordingly, all public officers must visit the official website of the National Insurance Trust Fund (NITF) and:

  • Register as a New Member
  • OR Update Existing Member Information
  • Include Dependent Details

The official launch ceremony was held at the “Nilamadura” auditorium in Narahenpita under the patronage of the Minister of Public Administration, Professor Chandana Abayarathne.

Public Administration Circular 09/2026 – Wednesdays Normal Working Day from 08 April 2026



 📢 Important update for all Government Offices in Sri Lanka!

The Cabinet has decided to restore Wednesdays as normal working days with immediate effect from 08 April 2026.

🚨 Previous circular issued due to fuel concerns has now been officially cancelled.


📄 Public Administration Circular 09/2026 (I)
📅 Effective from 08 April 2026 – Wednesdays are NORMAL working days

📌 Background

This circular was issued considering potential fuel supply difficulties due to the Middle East situation.

🏛 Cabinet Decision

At the Cabinet meeting held on 06.04.2026, it was decided to restore Wednesdays as normal working days for all government offices.

📅 Implementation

This decision is effective from 08 April 2026 and applies to all government institutions.

❌ Cancellation

Public Administration Circular 09/2026 dated 17.03.2026 is hereby cancelled with immediate effect.
