Do you engage in these activities?

• Exchange between virtual assets* (such as cryptocurrency) and fiat currencies

• Exchange between one or more forms of virtual assets

• Providing virtual assets transfer services

• Safekeeping and/or administration of virtual assets or instruments enabling control over virtual assets

• Providing financial services related to an issuer’s offer (activities related to Initial Coin Offerings) and/or sale of a virtual asset

Financial Intelligence Unit, under Section 15(1) (o) of the Financial Transactions Reporting Act, No. 6 of 2006, is conducting this mandatory information survey for all VASPs operating in Sri Lanka.

*Virtual Assets are digital representations of value such as cryptocurrencies that can be digitally traded or transferred and used for payment or investment purposes. It does not include digital representations of fiat currencies issued by a Central Bank.
