Education Ministry says, an opportunity will be given to apply for the GCE A/L exam for the second and third time to the students who have faced the exam in 2022 (2023) after releasing the results. Results will be released in August

As mentioned in the invitation letter paragraph 04. which was published on the
Ministry's website dated 27.06.2023, the candidate must bring all certificates/
documents to confirm particular basic qualifications including the letters of
appointment and confirmation of appointment in the post/posts of Sri Lanka
Education Administration Service, Sri Lanka Principal Service or Sri Lanka Teacher
Service posts belonging to the Government or Provincial Government Service, as
per candidates’ application and the recruitment notice published in the gazette of
the Democratic Socialist Republic of Sri Lanka for recruitment to grade III of the Sri
Lanka Teacher Educator Service on a limited basis numbered 2,162 and dated
02.07.2020."

New Circular on No Pay Leave (Local and Foreign)
Ministry of Public administration has released a new circular on Granting Leave with No Pay to be Spent in or out of the Island to Public Officers without Causing any Prejudice to the Seniority and Pension.
From July 11,2023 the said benefit of the no pay leave period not effect to the seniority and pension is being suspended.
