Home Economics Practical Examination – GCE A/L 2025

The Home Economics Practical Examination for GCE Advanced Level 2025 candidates has been scheduled from 24.01.2026 to 02.02.2026.

Admission cards for private candidates have already been sent to the addresses provided in their applications. Admission cards for school candidates have been sent to their respective schools.

Exam department has released the GCE O/L Exam Time Table for the 2025 O/L Batch

The Department of Examinations has released the official timetable for the GCE Ordinary Level Examination 2025, which will be held from 17th to 26th February 2026.

Key Exam Dates

  • 17 Feb – Religion subjects
  • 18 Feb – Sinhala & Tamil Language and Literature
  • 19 Feb – History
  • 20 Feb – English Language
  • 21 Feb – Aesthetic subjects & Literature Appreciation
  • 23 Feb – Mathematics
  • 24 Feb – Technology & Vocational subjects ( IT, Agri, Home Econ, HPE) 
  • 25 Feb – Science
  • 26 Feb – Business Studies, Geography, Civics, Entrepreneurship  Second Language & other languages

Morning sessions generally begin at 8.30 a.m., with some subjects also scheduled in the afternoon.

Calculators, mobile phones, electronic devices, and correcting fluid are strictly prohibited inside the exam hall.

The timetable is issued by the Department of Examinations, Sri Lanka.

Exam Department has invited from the eligible officers to apply for the GCE O/L Exam 2025 Paper Marking.

Closing Date 08.01.2026

Qualifications
  • Degree or Diploma Training in Relevant Subject 
  • Teaching Grade 10, 11 Classes
PLEASE NOTE

  • Teachers are required to complete the online application and print two copies. Both printed copies should be submitted to the Principal.
  • The Principal will verify the application online, forward one copy to the Department of Examinations, and retain the other copy in the school office for record purposes.
  • New applicants must submit certified copies of the relevant certificates together with the application

Special Announcement – G.C.E. A/L 2025 & GIT 2025 Examinations

The Department of Examinations has released a special announcement regarding the G.C.E. Advanced Level (A/L) 2025 and GIT 2025 Examinations.

📌 School Candidates
Admission cards have been sent to the respective Zonal Education Offices. Principals can collect the admission cards from the relevant Zonal Office.

Admission cards have been posted to the address provided in the application.

Private candidates can also download their admission card from 03.11.2025 onward.

🛠️ Amendments
Candidates who need to make corrections (such as name, subject, medium, etc.) can do so until 31.10.2025.
