Considering the prevailing severe weather conditions, all schools located in the Kandy and Nuwara Eliya Districts will remain closed on Tuesday, 04 August 2026.

The decision was announced by the Secretary of Education of the Central Province.

This precautionary measure has been taken to ensure the safety of students, teachers and school staff due to heavy rainfall, flooding and the risk of landslides affecting several areas.

මෙම තීරණය මධ්‍යම පළාත් අධ්‍යාපන ලේකම්වරයා විසින් ප්‍රකාශයට පත් කර ඇත.

ප්‍රදේශ රැසකට ඇදහැලෙන අධික වර්ෂාව, ගංවතුර සහ නායයෑමේ අවදානම හමුවේ සිසුන්ගේ, ගුරුවරුන්ගේ සහ පාසල් කාර්ය මණ්ඩලයේ ආරක්ෂාව තහවුරු කිරීම සඳහා මෙම පියවර ගෙන ඇත.

Central Province Education Department plans to conduct the Exams for students. Practice paper for GCE O/L 2020 Students starts on February 01, 2021 in schools and Year End paper for Grade 6,7,8,9,10 (in 2020) on 25th of January 2021in their home.

Exam Papers has distributed to Respective zones.
