Applications are invited from qualified Sri Lankan citizens for the Open Competitive Examination for Recruitment to Grade III of the Management Service Officers' Service of the Western Provincial Public Service – 2026.

Age Requirements
Applicants must be between 18 and 30 years as at 15 November 2026.
Eligible dates of birth: 15.11.1996 to 15.11.2008, inclusive.
Educational Qualifications
G.C.E. Ordinary Level
- Pass six subjects in one sitting.
- Obtain four credit passes, including the relevant language subject (Sinhala, Tamil or English) and Mathematics.
G.C.E. Advanced Level
- Pass all relevant subjects in one sitting.
- General English and the Common General Test are excluded from this requirement.

Applicants must satisfy the district eligibility conditions relating to birth, residence or secondary education as stated in the Gazette.
Examination Structure
- Language Proficiency: 100 marks – 2 hours 30 minutes
- Aptitude: 100 marks – 1 hour
Applicants must obtain at least 40% in each paper and at least 50% of the total marks to qualify for appointment consideration.
Important Conditions
- The post is permanent and pensionable.
- A three-year probationary period applies.
- Selected candidates must normally serve at their first appointed workplace for at least three years.
- Examination mediums are Sinhala, Tamil and English.
- The online application must be completed in English.
- Applicants eligible for both this service and the Combined Service MSO recruitment may select one service according to their preference, as specified in the Gazette.

සෑම ප්රශ්න පත්රයකටම අවම වශයෙන් 40%ක් සහ මුළු ලකුණුවලින් අවම වශයෙන් 50%ක් ලබාගත යුතුය.
