Essential Information

General Eligibility

• Sri Lankan citizen
• Permanent resident of the Western Province for three consecutive years before 10.08.2026
• Good character and medically fit
• All required qualifications must be completed by the closing date

Age Limits

Most posts: 18-45 years

Sports Instructor: 18-25 years

Salary Scales

PL 1-2025: Rs. 40,000-61,880

MN 1-2025: Rs. 45,230-78,360

PL 3-2025: Rs. 42,780-66,540

PL 2-2025: Rs. 41,800-65,560

Important: Educational, professional, experience, licence, physical, examination and fee requirements vary by post. Applicants must read the official notice carefully before applying.

How to Apply

1. Prepare the application using the correct specimen form shown below. It may be typed or clearly handwritten on both sides of A4 paper.
2. Write the name of the post on the top-left corner of the envelope.
3. Send it by registered post only to: Municipal Commissioner, Municipal Commissioner's Office, Colombo Municipal Council, Town Hall, Colombo 07.
4. The application must reach the office on or before 10 August 2026. Hand-delivered and late applications will not be accepted.
5. Submit a separate application by registered post for each post if applying for more than one position.
