📢 Recruitment Details

Applications are invited from qualified Sri Lankan citizens for recruitment to the Orientation and Coordination Course for the Post of Pharmacist in the Supplementary Medical Professions Service – 2026.

This recruitment is conducted to fill 164 vacancies in the post of Pharmacist, according to the Cabinet Decision dated 03.03.2026.

🎓 Educational Qualifications

• Must have passed two subjects from Combined Mathematics, Biology, Physics or Agricultural Science at one sitting in G.C.E. A/L.
• Must have a Credit pass for Chemistry at G.C.E. A/L.
• Must have completed a B.Pharm or B.Sc. Pharmacy degree with minimum academic value of 120 credits.
• Must be registered with the Sri Lanka Medical Council.

✅ General Qualifications

• Must be a citizen of Sri Lanka.
• Must be willing to serve in any part of Sri Lanka.
• Must possess adequate physical and mental fitness.
• Must be of excellent character.
• Age should be not less than 18 years and not more than 35 years as at 08.07.2026.
• The effective date of the relevant degree should be before the closing date.
• All qualifications should be completed by the date mentioned in the Gazette notice.

📝 Application Method

The application should be prepared using A4 size paper according to the specimen application form attached to the Gazette notice.

Completed applications should be sent by Registered Post on or before 08 July 2026.

📊 Selection Criteria

The merit list will be prepared based on the effective date of the degree and the Grade Point Average. Priority will be given to applicants who obtained the degree after 14 June 2019.

✍ Written Examination

If the number of graduate applicants exceeds the number of vacancies, a written examination may be held. The examination will be a 01-hour paper based on General Knowledge and Aptitude.

🏥 Training Details

• Selected candidates will be attached to hospitals and other institutions.
• Training period will be 06 months.
• The Orientation and Coordination Course will be conducted in the English medium.
• Trainees will be paid allowances according to Public Administration Circular 10/2025.
• A compulsory agreement and surety bond must be signed before training.

⚠ Important Instructions

• Incomplete applications will be rejected without notice.
