🎓 Required Educational Qualifications

Applicants must have passed six subjects at the G.C.E. Ordinary Level Examination at one sitting.
The six subjects must include Sinhala, Tamil or English and Mathematics.
Applicants must have obtained credit passes for at least four subjects.
Applicants must have passed all subjects at the G.C.E. Advanced Level Examination at one sitting, excluding the General Paper.
Under the old syllabus, passing three subjects at one sitting will be sufficient for the Advanced Level requirement.

👤 Age Limit

Applicants should be below 64 years of age.

All required qualifications must be completed on or before the closing date of applications.

📑 Service Conditions

The selected candidates will initially be appointed for a period of one year on a contract basis.

The contract may be extended annually based on performance and the requirements of the project.

💰 Salary and Allowances

Salary will be paid according to the relevant salary step specified in Management Services Circular No. 02/2026 dated 28 March 2026 and its relevant amendments.

Government-approved allowances applicable to the post will also be paid.

🎁 EPF and ETF Benefits

Employee EPF contribution: 8%
Employer EPF contribution: 12%
Employer ETF contribution: 3%

The Open University of Sri Lanka invites suitably qualified candidates to apply for the post of Project Assistant on Contract at the Badulla Regional Centre.

Required Qualifications

Applicants should possess a Bachelor’s degree awarded by a recognised university.
Applicants should possess good communication skills in English.
Candidates should have the ability to work cooperatively within a multidisciplinary team.

Appointment and Benefits

The appointment will initially be made for a period of six months.
The appointment may be extended for up to two years based on performance.
A fixed monthly allowance of Rs. 40,000 will be paid.
The selected candidate will be entitled to EPF and ETF.

Important Conditions

Applicants should be available to work during weekends.
Preference will be given to applicants from Badulla.
Only qualified shortlisted candidates will be invited for an interview.

Qualification: Bachelor’s Degree recognized by the U.G.C with an MBA / MSc.

Experience: Minimum 12 years working experience at managerial level in a corporation, statutory board, institution or reputed private institution after obtaining the first degree.

Age Limit: Below 65 years

Marketing Specialist

Contract No: BOI/ADMN/Q/31/2026

Qualification: Bachelor’s Degree recognized by the U.G.C in Marketing Management with an MBA / MSc. or related chartered professional qualification such as CIM or SLIM.

Experience: Minimum 07 years experience at managerial level in a corporation, statutory board, institution or reputed private institution after obtaining the first degree.

Age Limit: Below 50 years

Engineering Specialist

Contract No: BOI/ADMN/Q/32/2026

Qualification: Bachelor’s Degree in Civil Engineering recognized by the U.G.C, chartered membership in IESL, and registration with ECSL.

Experience: Minimum 07 years experience at managerial level in a corporation, statutory board, institution or reputed private institution after obtaining the first degree.

Age Limit: Below 50 years

Business Operations Specialist

Contract No: BOI/ADMN/Q/33/2026

Qualification: Bachelor’s Degree recognized by the U.G.C in Management, Business Administration or related field with an MBA / MSc.

Experience: Minimum 07 years experience at managerial level in a corporation, statutory board, institution or reputed private institution after obtaining the first degree.

Age Limit: Below 50 years

IT Specialist

Contract No: BOI/ADMN/Q/34/2026

Qualification: Bachelor’s Degree recognized by the U.G.C in Information Technology, Computer Science or Information Systems with an MBA / MSc.

Experience: Minimum 07 years experience at managerial level in a corporation, statutory board, institution or reputed private institution after obtaining the first degree.

Age Limit: Below 50 years

General Conditions

Applicants should be citizens of Sri Lanka.
Applicants should be of good character and sound health.
Applicants should possess the physical and mental fitness required to perform the duties of the post.
