01. About the Recruitment
Applications are invited from suitably qualified Sri Lankan citizens for recruitment to 88 vacancies in the post of Health Service Assistant (Junior), Grade III, under the Western Provincial Department of Health Services.
The recruitment is for the Primary Level Unskilled Service Category (PL-1), subject to the conditions specified in the official notification.
02. Educational Qualifications
- Applicants must have passed at least six subjects in the G.C.E. Ordinary Level Examination.
- The six passes must include at least two credit passes.
- The required results must have been obtained within a maximum of two sittings.
03. Other Qualifications
- Applicants must be Sri Lankan citizens.
- Applicants must possess good character.
- Applicants must be physically and mentally fit to perform the duties of the post.
- Applicants must satisfy the residency and other eligibility conditions stated in the official notice.
04. Age Limit
Applicants must be not less than 18 years and not more than 45 years of age.
The relevant date for calculating the age is specified in the official notification.
05. Salary Scale
Rs. 40,000 – 10 × 450 – 10 × 490 – 10 × 540 – 12 × 590 – Rs. 61,880
According to the notice, the applicable monthly basic salary for 2026 is Rs. 38,863.

Recruitment will be carried out through a structured interview and assessment process in accordance with the official recruitment scheme.
