Admission Requirements

Applicants should possess at least one of the following qualifications:

Three passes obtained in one and the same sitting at the G.C.E. Advanced Level Examination in Sri Lanka.
Successful completion of an OUSL Foundation Programme consisting of 60 credits at Levels 1 and 2.
Successful completion of an Advanced Certificate Programme offered by the Faculty of Management Studies of OUSL, consisting of 30 SLQF credits at SLQF Level 2.
Successful completion of another OUSL Advanced Certificate Programme consisting of 30 SLQF credits at SLQF Level 2.
An equivalent or higher academic or professional qualification acceptable to the Senate of the Open University of Sri Lanka.

Eligible applicants are required to pass the Selection Test. The Selection Test exemption stated in the official notice applies to applicants entering through the relevant Faculty of Management Studies Advanced Certificate pathway.

Selection Test – Important Information

The paper-based, onsite Selection Test is scheduled to be conducted at the Regional and Study Centres of the Open University of Sri Lanka.

The normal duration of the degree programme is four years.
Students may complete the first two years and qualify for the Higher Diploma in Management – HDip (Mgmt), subject to the programme regulations.
The medium of instruction is English.
The application fee is Rs. 750.
The application fee may be paid online using a debit card or credit card.
Cash payments may also be made through an OUSL Regional Centre or Study Centre according to the instructions provided by OUSL.

Degree, postgraduate and advanced certificate opportunities offered by the Open University of Sri Lanka.

The Open University of Sri Lanka has invited online applications for six study programmes for the 2026 intake. The available opportunities include undergraduate degrees, an executive postgraduate programme and an advanced certificate programme.

Applicants should carefully check the entry qualifications, programme fees, application fees and closing dates before submitting an online application.

A minimum S pass in English at the G.C.E. O/L examination or an accepted equivalent qualification.

Applicants must pass the selection interview and qualify through the interview merit list.

Eligible Diploma in Nursing holders receive exemptions from Levels 3 and 4 and are required to complete Levels 5 and 6.

Advanced Level PHYSICS Practical Workshop 2026

Conducted for the 10th time by the Department of Physics, The Open University of Sri Lanka

Limited seats are available and registrations will be accepted on a first-come, first-served basis.

The Institute of Physics Sri Lanka, in collaboration with the Department of Physics of the Open University of Sri Lanka, has organized a one-day Physics Practical Workshop for students sitting for the 2026 G.C.E. Advanced Level Examination in the Biological Science or Physical Science streams.

The registration fee must be paid before the workshop date, only at the Department of Physics, 2nd Floor, Science and Technology Building, The Open University of Sri Lanka, Nawala, Nugegoda.

Important Instructions for Students

The original payment receipt must be produced when entering the workshop venue.
Students must attend only on the date allocated during registration.
Changing the allocated date is not permitted.
The registration fee is non-refundable.
Students must attend the workshop in their school uniform.
Students must bring their own lunch and drinking water.
Students are advised not to bring large backpacks or school bags.
Transport arrangements must be made by students, parents, guardians or accompanying teachers.
Students must maintain discipline throughout the programme.
Students must not leave the laboratory without permission from the organizers.

Instructions for Parents and Teachers

Parents, guardians or teachers accompanying students should drop students at the venue and leave the university premises. They should return at approximately 5.00 p.m. to collect the students. Loitering within the university premises is not permitted.

2026 க.பொ.த. உயர்தரப் பரீட்சைக்கு உயிரியல் விஞ்ஞானம் அல்லது பௌதிக விஞ்ஞானப் பிரிவில் தோற்றவுள்ள மாணவர்களுக்கான ஒருநாள் பௌதிகவியல் செய்முறைப் பயிற்சிப் பட்டறை இலங்கை திறந்த பல்கலைக்கழகத்தின் பௌதிகவியல் திணைக்களத்தினால் நடத்தப்படுகின்றது. பயிற்சிப் பட்டறை 2026 ஜூலை 4, 5, 11 மற்றும் 12ஆம் திகதிகளில் நடைபெறும். ஒரு மாணவர் ஒதுக்கப்பட்ட ஒரு நாளில் மாத்திரம் கலந்துகொள்ள முடியும். பதிவுக் கட்டணம் ரூ. 3,000 ஆகும். பதிவு ஜூன் 23 முதல் வார நாட்களில் காலை 9.00 முதல் 12.00 மணி வரையும் பிற்பகல் 1.30 முதல் 3.30 மணி வரையும் நடைபெறும். நேரடியாகச் சென்று பணமாகக் கட்டணம் செலுத்திப் பதிவு செய்ய வேண்டும். ஆசனங்கள் மட்டுப்படுத்தப்பட்டுள்ளன.

Programme Overview

The Bachelor of Science Honours in Psychology programme is offered by the Department of Psychology and Counselling of the Faculty of Health Sciences, The Open University of Sri Lanka.

The programme is designed for individuals interested in understanding psychology and its different subfields through the open, distance and flexible learning system of the OUSL.

Students will develop theoretical knowledge, practical skills, research abilities and an understanding of ethical standards relevant to psychology in the Sri Lankan context.

The programme consists of courses at Levels 3, 4, 5 and 6. Students are required to complete a total of 120 credits over the four levels.

An equivalent or higher qualification acceptable to the Senate of The Open University of Sri Lanka.

Additional compulsory requirements:
Applicants must have at least a Simple Pass (S) in English at the G.C.E. Ordinary Level Examination and must pass the selection interview.

මනෝවිද්‍යාව පිළිබඳ විද්‍යාවේදී ගෞරව උපාධිය ශ්‍රී ලංකා විවෘත විශ්වවිද්‍යාලය විසින් පවත්වනු ලබන මනෝවිද්‍යාව පිළිබඳ විද්‍යාවේදී ගෞරව උපාධි පාඨමාලාව සඳහා 2026 අධ්‍යයන වර්ෂයට අයදුම්පත් කැඳවා ඇත. පාඨමාලාව ඉංග්‍රීසි මාධ්‍යයෙන් අවම වශයෙන් වසර හතරක් පවත්වනු ලැබේ.

விண்ணப்பதாரர்கள் க.பொ.த. உயர்தரப் பரீட்சையில் ஒரே அமர்வில் மூன்று பாடங்களில் சித்தியடைந்திருக்க வேண்டும். மேலும் க.பொ.த. சாதாரண தரப் பரீட்சையில் ஆங்கிலப் பாடத்தில் குறைந்தபட்சம் சாதாரண சித்தி பெற்றிருக்க வேண்டும். தகுதி பெறும் விண்ணப்பதாரர்கள் தெரிவு நேர்முகப் பரீட்சையில் சித்தியடைய வேண்டும்.
