🎓 About the Scholarship
The Chulabhorn Graduate Institute (CGI), Thailand, is offering Post-Graduate Scholarships for Master's Degree studies for the Academic Year 2027.
For Sri Lanka, nominations have been invited through the Department of External Resources in collaboration with the Colombo Plan Secretariat and the Chulabhorn Royal Academy of Thailand.

✅ Eligibility Requirements
Applicants should satisfy the following requirements:
- Must be under 30 years of age. No age exemption is specified.
- Must possess a Bachelor's Degree with a cumulative GPA of at least 2.75.
- Suitable degree areas include: Chemistry, Biology, Biological Sciences, Molecular Biology, Environmental Sciences, Medicine, Medical Technology, Pharmacy, Pharmaceutical Sciences and other related fields.
- Must have experience in scientific laboratory research.
- Must demonstrate English language proficiency, preferably through TOEFL, IELTS or an appropriate university certification relating to the medium of instruction.
- Must submit a Statement of Purpose explaining the applicant's interest in the proposed study.

The Colombo Plan Secretariat will bear the cost of the return economy-class air ticket, while CGI will provide the specified academic expenses and other scholarship benefits.
⏳ Duration of the Programme
The scholarship consists of:
- 📘 Approximately 6 weeks of refresher courses
- 🎓 Followed by a 2-year Master's Degree programme
🎓 The academic programme is expected to commence in August 2027.

- Full Academic Transcript – Undergraduate or higher level
- Three Recommendation Letters
- Statement of Purpose explaining the interest in study
- Medical History Report

🇱🇰 Important Instructions for Sri Lankan Applicants
This call is intended for suitably qualified Sri Lankan public sector officials.
Applicants should obtain the necessary approval and nomination through their respective Ministry, Department or institution.
After completing the CGI online application, applicants are required to forward the following documents to the Department of External Resources:
- Nomination Letter from the respective Ministry, including a covering letter with recommendation
- Duly completed ERD Application Form
ERD documents should reach the Department on or before 4.00 p.m. on 31 August 2026.
