Programme Details

The Department of Nursing, Faculty of Health Sciences of the Open University of Sri Lanka invites applications for the Master of Science in Nursing (MSc N) Degree Programme for the academic year 2027/2028.

• Programme: Master of Science in Nursing
• Programme code: MSNG
• Qualification level: SLQF Level 10
• Duration: Minimum two academic years
• Credit requirement: 60 credits
• Medium: English
• Course fee: Rs. 310,000
• Application method: Online only

The programme also provides an exit point at SLQF Level 9 with a Master of Nursing qualification, subject to completing the applicable requirements.

Admission Requirements

Applicants should possess one of the following qualifications:

• A Bachelor’s Degree at SLQF Level 5 in Nursing; or
• A qualification at SLQF Level 6 or above in Nursing; or
• An equivalent or higher qualification acceptable to the Senate of the Open University of Sri Lanka.

Selection will also be based on the outcome of a selection test and/or an interview.
