Qualifications

Proficiency in MS Office, email and social media.
Good command of English together with Sinhala or Tamil.

Required Qualifications

Applicants should possess a B.Sc. Engineering Degree from a recognized university or higher educational institution, specializing in:

Electrical Engineering;

Selection will be made through a structured interview.
Applicants obtaining 40% or more at the structured interview will be eligible to be considered for selection.

Salary Scale

U-EX 1(II) – Rs. 85,305 – 3 × 2,020 – Rs. 91,365 (EB) Rs. 93,765 – 12 × 2,400 – Rs. 122,565 per month

The advertised salary scale will become fully operative from 01.01.2027. Salary placement applicable for 2026 will be made according to the relevant University Grants Commission circular.

Main Responsibilities

Operation, maintenance and management of professional and broadcast-quality audio-visual systems.
Management of equipment used in CETMe audio-visual studios.
Preparation of technical specifications.
Conducting technical evaluations.
Supervision of equipment installation.
Performing other related engineering duties assigned by the University.

Preference: Preference will be given to candidates possessing relevant experience in a similar engineering position.

The Council of the Open University of Sri Lanka invites applications from suitably qualified and experienced persons to manage and lead the University as its Vice-Chancellor.

Appointment and responsibilities

The Vice-Chancellor is the full-time Principal Executive Officer, Accounting Officer and academic head of the University.
The appointee is also an ex-officio member and Chairperson of both the Council and the Senate.
The term is three years or until the appointee reaches 65 years of age, whichever occurs first, subject to the Universities Act.
The post carries the highest academic salary scale, an entertainment allowance of 15% of salary, and other applicable allowances.

Basic eligibility

The applicant must be a citizen of Sri Lanka.
The applicant must be below 63 years of age as at the closing date.
Applicants should possess strong academic leadership, management ability, communication skills and a record of outstanding achievement.

Documents to be submitted

A complete curriculum vitae, including the applicant’s date of birth.
A personal statement presenting a vision for the development of OUSL and proposed achievements if appointed.
If the incumbent Vice-Chancellor applies, a report highlighting achievements during the first term of office.

Applications are invited for the post of Lecturer (On Contract) attached to the Department of Textile and Apparel Technology at the Colombo Regional Centre of OUSL.

Required Qualifications

Bachelors Honours Degree in Apparel Production and Management
Degree should be obtained from a recognized University
First Class OR Second Class (Upper / Lower Division)

Professional Competencies Required

Excellent command of written and spoken English
Good IT literacy in MS Office package
Ability to work effectively within a team environment
Strong cooperation and communication skills

Appointment Details

⏳ Initial Appointment Period : 06 Months

📌 Extendable up to 04 years based on performance

Salary Details

💰 Rs. 70,000/= Per Month

(Including EPF & ETF)

Post of Lecturer (On Contract)

The Open University of Sri Lanka (OUSL) has called applications from suitably qualified candidates for the post of Lecturer (On Contract) attached to the Department of Nursing – Batticaloa Regional Centre.

Walk-In Interview – 19 May 2026

Time : 1.00 PM

Required Qualifications

BSc Honours in Nursing Degree awarded by a recognized University
Degree with a Class will be preferred

Professional Competencies Required

Excellent command of written and spoken English
High level of IT literacy in MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Gmail
Ability to work in a multidisciplinary team environment
Strong cooperation and teamwork skills

Salary Details

Fixed Monthly Allowance : Rs. 62,000 + EPF + ETF

Duration of Appointment

Appointments will initially be made for six months and may be extended up to two years based on performance.
