Registration for Full Scholarships - Job Training for Young People from Low Income Families


Next Sri Lanka 50,000 full scholarships for job training targeting local and international jobs for young people.


In line with the Next Sri Lanka State Program to empower 2 million families in the next five years, the Samurdhi Development Department affiliated to the Ministry of Rural Development, Social Security and Community Empowerment has launched a program for job training for 50,000 young people between the ages of 18 and 35 from low-income families to employ them locally and internationally.


Accordingly, in conjunction with the International Youth Skills Day on July 15, interviews to test the skills of young people will be held from July 15 to 23 for a week at all Divisional Secretariats in the island from 9.00 am to 4.00 pm.

Applications are called for the Competitive examination for promotion to the Supra Grade of Management Services Officers Service on Merit.

Closing Date - 11.08.2025

50% of the vacancies existed in the Supra Grade of Management Services Officers’ Service shall be filled by promotion on merit.

Qualifications
  • Shall be an officer who has completed at least an active and satisfactory service period of 05 years in the Grade I of Management Services Officers’ Service as at the closing date of applications.
  • Shall have not been subjected to any disciplinary punishment as per the provisions of Public Service Commission Circular No: 01/2020 as at the said date. 
  • Shall have completed the relevant Efficiency Bar examination as at the prescribed date.

Qualifications
  • Having a post graduate degree from a University recognized by the University Grants Commission or from an institute recognized by the University Grants Commission as a degree awarding institute at least in one of the fields such as Public Administration, Management, Public Policies, Human Resource Management, Economics, Development Economics, Social Development, Law, Financial Management, Project Planning and Management, Information Technology or other fields approved by the Public Service Commission on the recommendation of the Secretary of the Ministry in charge of the subject of Public Administration as appropriate to obtain knowledge and skills to perform multi management functions entrusted to the officers in Sri Lanka Administrative Service.
  • Having completed an active and satisfactory service period of five years in Grade One (I) of the service as at the date of promotion and earned five (05) increments after being promoted to Grade One (I) and being an Officer in active service as of 01.07.2025
  • Having completed an active period of service not less than eighteen (18) years as at the date of promotion.
  • Having an annual performance of satisfactory level or above satisfactory level throughout the period of five (05) years immediately preceding the date of promotion according to the approved performance appraisal scheme.
  • Shall have not been subjected to disciplinary punishments as per the provisions of Public Service Commission Circular No: 01/2020.
  • Having passed the third efficiency bar examination as at the due date or being exempted from the same.
