The Shishyadhara 2026 Programme is a government initiative launched by the Ministry of Finance in collaboration with the Ministry of Education to provide financial support for school stationery. Eligible students will receive a Rs. 6000 allowance, which can be redeemed through a QR-based system at approved merchants.

Shishyadhara is a government-led system implemented under the Ministry of Finance with the support of the Ministry of Education to provide subsidies for school stationery.
Allowance: Rs. 6000 per student for 2026 academic year
🎯 Eligibility Criteria
- Students in government schools with ≤ 300 students (based on 2025 Census)
- Pirivena students (Monk & Non-Monk)
- Birth between 01.02.2007 – 31.01.2021
Exclusions: Aswesuma beneficiaries & Child Development Centre students
🏫 School Selection
Selected based on 2025 Census Report
Schools with total student population of 300 or fewer (as at 01 June 2025)
📝 Registration Process
- Student Registration – Parents (Beneficiary Login)
- Approval – School Level
- Admin Panel – Zonal Office
📲 QR Based Payment System
Approved students will receive a QR Code to redeem Rs.6000 allowance at approved merchants.
