01. Coupe Officer – MA 1-2
Qualifications: Passed G.C.E. O/L in six subjects in one sitting with credit passes for four subjects including Sinhala/Tamil and Mathematics.
Passed three subjects other than General Paper at G.C.E. A/L in Science, Commerce or Arts streams.
Salary Scale: MA 1-2 Rs. 46,220 - 84,350
Age Limit: 18 to 45 years
Job Description: Demarcation of coupes, enumeration, managing contractors, supervising timber extraction and issuing timber to depots.
02. Heavy Machine Operator – PL 3
Qualification: NVQ Level 04 certificate accepted by the Tertiary and Vocational Education Commission, relevant to the post.
Salary Scale: PL-3 Rs. 43,280 - 67,040
Age Limit: 18 to 45 years
Job Description: Operation of forklifts, front end loaders, crawler tractors, timber jacks, bulldozers, caterpillars, pockland and other heavy machinery. Minor repairs and maintenance.
03. Boiler & Kiln Operator – PL 3
Qualification: NVQ Level 04 certificate relevant to the function of the post.
Salary Scale: PL-3 Rs. 43,280 - 67,040
Age Limit: 18 to 45 years
Job Description: Operation, repair and maintenance of boilers and kilns. Maintenance of input and output records.
04. Plant Operator – PL 3
Qualification: NVQ Level 04 certificate relevant to the function of the post.
Salary Scale: PL-3 Rs. 43,280 - 67,040
Age Limit: 18 to 45 years
Job Description: Operation, repair and maintenance of impregnation plants. Maintenance of records relating to inputs and outputs.
05. Sawyer – PL 3
Qualification: NVQ Level 04 certificate relevant to the function of the post.
Salary Scale: PL-3 Rs. 43,280 - 67,040
Age Limit: 18 to 45 years
Job Description: Operation of saw mills, repair and maintenance, maintaining records of inputs and outputs, and reporting accidents and breakdowns.
06. Chain Saw Operator – PL 2
Qualification: NVQ Level 02 certificate relevant to the function of the post.
Salary Scale: PL-2 Rs. 42,300 - 66,060
Age Limit: 18 to 45 years
Job Description: Felling and logging of timber using chain saws. Repair and maintenance of saw mills.
