G.C.E. (O/L) Examination 2026

National Identity Card (NIC) Number Mandatory for All Applicants

📢 Important Notice

The Department of Examinations, Sri Lanka has informed that it is mandatory to include the National Identity Card (NIC) Number when applying for all examinations conducted by the Department.

Therefore, students who intend to apply for the G.C.E. (Ordinary Level) Examination 2026, scheduled to be held in December 2026, should obtain their National Identity Cards before submitting applications.

✅ Main Instructions

• NIC Number is compulsory for exam applications.
• Applicable for G.C.E. O/L Examination 2026.
• O/L 2026 is scheduled for December 2026.
• Applicants must obtain NIC before applying.

👨‍🎓 Applicable Candidates

• School candidates
• Private candidates
• Students applying for O/L 2026
• Candidates without NIC yet

⚠️ Responsibility of Applicants

It is the responsibility of all school applicants and private applicants to obtain their National Identity Cards prior to applying for the G.C.E. (O/L) Examination 2026.

2026 අ.පො.ස. සාමාන්‍ය පෙළ විභාගයට අයදුම් කරන සියලුම පාසල් හා පෞද්ගලික අයදුම්කරුවන් විභාග අයදුම්පත්‍රය ඉදිරිපත් කිරීමට පෙර ජාතික හැඳුනුම්පත ලබාගෙන තිබිය යුතුය. විභාග අයදුම් කිරීමේදී NIC අංකය ඇතුළත් කිරීම අනිවාර්ය වේ.

2026 ஆம் ஆண்டுக்கான க.பொ.த. சாதாரண தர பரீட்சைக்கு விண்ணப்பிக்கும் அனைத்து பாடசாலை மற்றும் தனியார் விண்ணப்பதாரர்களும் பரீட்சை விண்ணப்பத்திற்கு முன்னர் தேசிய அடையாள அட்டையை பெற்றிருக்க வேண்டும். பரீட்சைக்கு விண்ணப்பிக்கும் போது NIC இலக்கத்தை குறிப்பிடுவது கட்டாயமாகும்.
