Salary scale: MM 1-1
Rs. 91,690 – 2,480×10 – 3,450×15 – Rs. 168,240
Basic salary from 01.01.2026: Rs. 81,710

🎓 Qualifications – External Candidates

• A UGC-recognized Bachelor’s Degree in Management, Finance or Commerce; or
• Intermediate Level qualification from ICASL, CIMA or ACCA;
• and at least three years’ experience in financial management in a Regional Plantation Company, government department, corporation, board or reputed mercantile establishment.

🏢 Internal Candidates

Minimum five years’ experience as a Finance Officer or Internal Audit Officer in the Junior Manager Category, Grade I.

🎂 Age Limit

External applicants must be between 25 and 45 years. The upper age limit does not apply to internal candidates.

📝 Selection

A structured interview will assess relevant additional experience (30 marks), relevant additional qualifications (30), other achievements (15), and interview performance (25).

Important: Applicants must be Sri Lankan citizens, physically and mentally fit to serve anywhere in the country, and of excellent character. Ability to use the Tamil language is an added qualification.
