Tourism Start-Up Competition 2026 – Application Details

The Sri Lanka Tourism Development Authority invites innovative teams to present AI-powered solutions capable of transforming Sri Lanka’s tourism sector. The competition supports innovation, sustainability, improved visitor experiences and the digital transformation of tourism.

Important: Artificial Intelligence must be a core component of the proposed solution. Applications without an AI component will not be considered.

Who Can Apply?

Tourism start-ups operating in Sri Lanka

Early-stage technology companies and tech entrepreneurs

University teams, undergraduates, postgraduates and incubators

School-level innovation teams and incubators

Eligible AI Solution Areas

• Smart travel planning and personalized visitor experiences
• AI customer service, chatbots and virtual assistants
• Smart destination management systems
• Predictive analytics for tourism demand and visitor behaviour
• Sustainable tourism and environmental monitoring
• Digital marketing and visitor-experience platforms
• Smart mobility and visitor-flow management

Selection Process

Applications will be screened and shortlisted. Selected applicants will make pitch presentations before an expert panel. Proposals will be evaluated for innovation, feasibility, scalability and impact. Winners will be recognized at the World Tourism Day 2026 celebrations.

සංචාරක ක්ෂේත්‍රයේ ආරම්භක ව්‍යාපාර තරගය 2026

“සංචාරක ක්ෂේත්‍රයේ අනාගතය සඳහා AI මත පදනම් වූ නවෝත්පාදනය” යන තේමාව යටතේ ශ්‍රී ලංකා සංචාරක සංවර්ධන අධිකාරිය විසින් මෙම තරගය සංවිධානය කරයි.

ශ්‍රී ලංකාවේ ක්‍රියාත්මක සංචාරක ආරම්භක ව්‍යාපාර, තාක්ෂණික ව්‍යවසායකයින්, විශ්වවිද්‍යාල කණ්ඩායම් සහ පාසල් නවෝත්පාදන කණ්ඩායම් සඳහා අයදුම් කළ හැකිය.

சுற்றுலாத்துறை தொடக்க நிறுவனப் போட்டி 2026

“எதிர்கால சுற்றுலாத்துறைக்கான AI சார்ந்த புத்தாக்கம்” என்ற கருப்பொருளில் இலங்கை சுற்றுலா அபிவிருத்தி அதிகாரசபை இப்போட்டியை நடத்துகிறது.

இலங்கையில் இயங்கும் சுற்றுலா தொடக்க நிறுவனங்கள், தொழில்நுட்ப தொழில்முயற்சியாளர்கள், பல்கலைக்கழக அணிகள் மற்றும் பாடசாலை புத்தாக்க அணிகள் விண்ணப்பிக்கலாம்.

முக்கியம்: முன்வைக்கப்படும் தீர்வில் செயற்கை நுண்ணறிவு (AI) ஒரு பிரதான கூறாக கட்டாயம் இடம்பெற வேண்டும். பூர்த்தி செய்யப்பட்ட விண்ணப்பத்தையும் தொடர்புடைய ஆவணங்களையும் kusala@srilanka.travel என்ற மின்னஞ்சலுக்கு அனுப்பவும்.
