Special Announcement

The Sri Lanka Bureau of Foreign Employment (SLBFE) has announced that skill tests for Japan’s Specified Skilled Worker (SSW) programme will be conducted in Sri Lanka during October 2026. This programme offers an opportunity for eligible Sri Lankans who hope to work in Japan.

Test dates: The announcement states that tests are scheduled on selected days in October 2026, excluding 1, 12 and 25 October 2026. Applicants must check the Prometric schedule for the exact dates available for each test.

How to apply

1. Prepare a valid and accessible email address before beginning the application.
2. Create a Prometric ID. A Prometric ID is compulsory for sitting the skill test. Visit the official Prometric SSW page and follow the registration instructions.
3. Pay the examination fee online using a Visa card. According to the notice, payment may also be made using another person’s Visa card.
4. After registration, the Japanese authorities will send details of the examination centre and its address to the applicant’s registered email address.

Important: Carefully verify the selected test category, date, personal information and payment details before confirming the application. Applicants should rely on the official Prometric and SLBFE websites for current schedules and instructions.

ජපන් භාෂා පදනම් පරීක්ෂණය, හෙද සත්කාර, ආහාර සේවා කර්මාන්තය, කෘෂිකර්මය, ඉදිකිරීම් සහ නවාතැන් සේවා කර්මාන්තය යන අංශ සඳහා පරීක්ෂණ පැවැත්වේ. අයදුම් කිරීමට පෙර විද්‍යුත් තැපැල් ලිපිනයක් සකස් කර Prometric ID එකක් ලබාගත යුතු අතර විභාග ගාස්තුව Visa කාඩ්පතකින් මාර්ගගතව ගෙවිය හැක.
