Key Details
- Service and grade: Sri Lanka Foreign Service - Grade III
- Number of vacancies: 25
- Recruitment method: Written examination and interview for eligibility assessment, followed by selection in merit order.
- Nature of post: Permanent and pensionable, subject to the conditions stated in the official notice.
- Probation: Three years.
- Salary scale: Rs. 82,150 - 10 x 2,400 - 8 x 2,940 - 17 x 3,900 - Rs. 195,970 (SL-1-2025), monthly.
Educational Qualification
Applicants must possess a degree from a foreign or state university recognized by the University Grants Commission, a degree awarded by a university established by an Act of Parliament in Sri Lanka, or a degree recognized under Section 25A of the Universities Act, No. 16 of 1978.
Age Limit as at 06 October 2026
- General applicants: Must have attained 22 years and must not have attained 28 years. Eligible dates of birth are from 06 October 1998 to 06 October 2004, inclusive.
- Confirmed Public/Provincial Public Service officers: Must not have attained 35 years and must have been born on or after 06 October 1991, with a satisfactory service record.
Other Main Conditions
- Must be a citizen of Sri Lanka and of excellent character.
- Must be physically and mentally fit to serve in Sri Lanka or anywhere in the world.
- A person ordained in a religious order is not eligible.
- A person may sit this recruitment examination on no more than three occasions.
- All required qualifications must be satisfied by the closing date.
Written Examination
The examination is available in Sinhala, Tamil and English. Applicants must sit all papers in the medium selected in the application.

ශ්රී ලංකා විදේශ සේවයේ III ශ්රේණියට බඳවා ගැනීම සඳහා විවෘත තරග විභාගයට අයදුම්පත් කැඳවා ඇත. පුරප්පාඩු 25ක් පවතී. පිළිගත් උපාධියක් තිබිය යුතු අතර, සාමාන්ය අයදුම්කරුවන් අවසන් දිනට වයස අවුරුදු 22 සම්පූර්ණ කර තිබිය යුතු අතර 28 සම්පූර්ණ කර නොතිබිය යුතුය. තහවුරු කළ රාජ්ය/පළාත් රාජ්ය සේවකයින් වයස අවුරුදු 35 සම්පූර්ණ කර නොතිබිය යුතුය. අයදුම්පත් 2026 සැප්තැම්බර් 07 පෙ.ව. 9.00 සිට 2026 ඔක්තෝබර් 06 ප.ව. 9.00 දක්වා මාර්ගගතව ඉදිරිපත් කළ යුතුය. විභාග ගාස්තුව රු. 1,200කි. සම්පූර්ණ කොන්දේසි සඳහා නිල ගැසට් නිවේදනය කියවන්න.

இலங்கை வெளிநாட்டுச் சேவையின் தரம் III இற்கு ஆட்சேர்ப்பு செய்வதற்கான திறந்த போட்டிப் பரீட்சைக்கு விண்ணப்பங்கள் கோரப்பட்டுள்ளன. 25 வெற்றிடங்கள் உள்ளன. அங்கீகரிக்கப்பட்ட பட்டம் அவசியம். பொதுவான விண்ணப்பதாரர்கள் முடிவுத் திகதியில் 22 வயதைப் பூர்த்தி செய்திருப்பதுடன் 28 வயதைப் பூர்த்தி செய்திருக்கக்கூடாது. உறுதிப்படுத்தப்பட்ட அரச/மாகாண அரச சேவை அலுவலர்கள் 35 வயதைப் பூர்த்தி செய்திருக்கக்கூடாது. இணையவழி விண்ணப்பம் 07 செப்டெம்பர் 2026 காலை 9.00 மணிக்குத் திறந்து 06 ஒக்டோபர் 2026 இரவு 9.00 மணிக்கு முடிவடையும். பரீட்சைக் கட்டணம் ரூ. 1,200. முழுமையான நிபந்தனைகளுக்கு உத்தியோகபூர்வ வர்த்தமானி அறிவித்தலை வாசிக்கவும்.
