📢 Official Announcement
The Department of Examinations, Sri Lanka, has announced that the General Information Technology (GIT) Examination 2026 will be held on 24 October 2026 at 1,520 examination centres across the island.
Admission cards for school candidates and private candidates have been dispatched by post on 15 October 2026 to the relevant school principals and private applicants respectively.
Arrangements have also been made to obtain admission cards through the Department of Examinations website from 16 October 2026.
🏫 Government School Candidates
Principals of government schools can access the examination admission cards through the online system using the username and password provided to their schools.
After logging in, principals should download and distribute the admission cards to the relevant candidates.
🏫 Private School Candidates
Principals of private schools should access the admission card service through the online system.
Select the Private School option and log in using the provided school username and password to download admission cards for eligible candidates.
👤 Private Applicants
Private candidates who applied individually will receive their admission cards by post. Candidates who need to obtain their admission cards online should follow the instructions on the official Department of Examinations website.
⚠️ Corrections to Candidate Details
If corrections are required to candidates' names, examination media or other personal details, the relevant corrections should be submitted online by 19 October 2026 at 12.00 noon.
Requests for corrections submitted after the deadline will not be considered.

ශ්රී ලංකා විභාග දෙපාර්තමේන්තුව විසින් පවත්වනු ලබන සාමාන්ය තොරතුරු තාක්ෂණ විභාගය – 2026 ඔක්තෝබර් 24 වන දින දිවයින පුරා විභාග මධ්යස්ථාන 1,520කදී පැවැත්වේ.
පාසල් හා පෞද්ගලික අයදුම්කරුවන් සඳහා ප්රවේශ පත්ර 2026.10.15 දින තැපැල් කර ඇති අතර, 2026.10.16 සිට අන්තර්ජාලය ඔස්සේද ලබාගත හැකිය.
පාසල් විදුහල්පතිවරුන්ට ලබාදී ඇති පරිශීලක නාමය සහ මුරපදය භාවිතයෙන් ප්රවේශ පත්ර බාගත කළ හැකිය. පෞද්ගලික පාසල් සඳහා Private School විකල්පය තෝරාගත යුතුය.
අයදුම්කරුවන්ගේ නම, විභාග මාධ්යය ඇතුළු තොරතුරු සංශෝධනය කිරීමට අවශ්ය නම් 2026.10.19 දින මධ්යහ්න 12.00ට පෙර අන්තර්ජාලය ඔස්සේ සංශෝධනය කළ යුතුය.

இலங்கைப் பரீட்சைத் திணைக்களத்தினால் நடத்தப்படும் பொதுத் தகவல் தொழில்நுட்பப் பரீட்சை – 2026 எதிர்வரும் 2026 ஒக்டோபர் 24ஆம் திகதி நாடளாவிய ரீதியில் 1,520 பரீட்சை நிலையங்களில் நடைபெறவுள்ளது.
பாடசாலைப் பரீட்சார்த்திகளினதும் தனிப்பட்ட பரீட்சார்த்திகளினதும் அனுமதி அட்டைகள் 2026.10.15ஆம் திகதி தபாலில் அனுப்பப்பட்டுள்ளன. 2026.10.16 முதல் இணையத்தளத்திலும் அனுமதி அட்டைகளைப் பெற்றுக்கொள்ள முடியும்.
அரச பாடசாலை அதிபர்கள் தங்களுக்கு வழங்கப்பட்ட பயனர் பெயர் மற்றும் கடவுச்சொல்லைப் பயன்படுத்தி அனுமதி அட்டைகளைப் பதிவிறக்கம் செய்யலாம். தனியார் பாடசாலைகள் Private School என்ற தெரிவைப் பயன்படுத்த வேண்டும்.
பரீட்சார்த்திகளின் பெயர், பரீட்சை மொழிமூலம் உள்ளிட்ட விபரங்களில் திருத்தங்கள் இருப்பின், அவற்றை 2026.10.19ஆம் திகதி நண்பகல் 12.00 மணிக்கு முன்னர் இணையத்தளத்தின் ஊடாக மேற்கொள்ள வேண்டும்.
