Admission Cards, Online Amendments and Important Instructions
Department of Examinations – Sri Lanka📅 Examination Period
The G.C.E. Advanced Level Examination 2026 is scheduled to be conducted during the above period.
✏️ Amendment Deadline
Online corrections to eligible admission-card information must be completed before this deadline.
🏫 Admission Cards for School Candidates
- Admission cards have been sent to the respective Zonal Education Offices.
- School principals should collect them from the officer responsible for examinations at the relevant Zonal Education Office.
- Principals should distribute the admission cards to candidates without delay.
- School candidates may also obtain their admission cards through their respective schools.
👤 Admission Cards for Private Candidates
- Admission cards have been sent by post to candidates’ personal addresses.
- Private candidates can download their admission cards online from 24 July 2026.
- Candidates who have not received or cannot download the admission card should contact the Department of Examinations.
- When visiting the Department, take a copy of the submitted application and proof of examination-fee payment.
⚠️ Admission Card Amendments
Corrections relating to the candidate’s subject, medium or name must be submitted online.
- Only one amendment attempt is permitted.
- Examination centres cannot be changed.
- The amendment facility closes at 12.00 midnight on 03 August 2026.
🪪 Accepted Identification Documents
Candidates must produce one valid identification document:
- National Identity Card
- Valid passport
- Valid driving licence
🚫 Prohibited Items and Examination Rules
- Mobile phones, smartwatches and other electronic devices are strictly prohibited inside the examination hall.
- Violations may result in confiscation of devices and an examination ban of up to five years.
- Candidates must keep their faces and ears clearly visible throughout the examination.
- Impersonation, possessing notes, receiving unauthorised assistance and misconduct are punishable offences.
- Government-school students are not permitted to sit the examination as private candidates.

2026 අ.පො.ස. උසස් පෙළ විභාගය 2026 අගෝස්තු 10 සිට සැප්තැම්බර් 05 දක්වා පැවැත්වේ. පෞද්ගලික අයදුම්කරුවන්ට 2026.07.24 දින සිට විභාග ප්රවේශ පත්රය මාර්ගගතව බාගත කළ හැක.
විෂයය, මාධ්යය හෝ නම සම්බන්ධ සංශෝධන 2026.08.03 මධ්යම රාත්රී 12.00ට පෙර සිදු කළ යුතුය. එක් අයදුම්කරුවෙකුට ලැබෙන්නේ එක් සංශෝධන අවස්ථාවක් පමණක් වන අතර විභාග මධ්යස්ථාන වෙනස් කළ නොහැක.

2026 க.பொ.த. உயர்தரப் பரீட்சை 2026 ஆகஸ்ட் 10 முதல் செப்டம்பர் 05 வரை நடைபெறவுள்ளது. தனிப்பட்ட பரீட்சார்த்திகள் 24.07.2026 முதல் அனுமதி அட்டைகளை இணையத்தில் பதிவிறக்கம் செய்யலாம்.
பாடம், மொழிமூலம் அல்லது பெயர் தொடர்பான திருத்தங்கள் 03.08.2026 நள்ளிரவு 12.00 மணிக்கு முன்னர் இணையத்தில் மேற்கொள்ளப்பட வேண்டும். ஒரு திருத்த வாய்ப்பு மட்டுமே வழங்கப்படும். பரீட்சை நிலையத்தை மாற்ற முடியாது.
