📌 Sri Lanka Teachers’ Service Minute – Amendment No. 05
The Ministry of Education, Higher Education and Vocational Education has issued Amendment No. 05 to the Service Minute of the Sri Lanka Teachers’ Service through Gazette Extraordinary No. 2507/02 dated 21 September 2026.
This amendment further amends the Sri Lanka Teachers’ Service Minute originally published in Gazette Extraordinary No. 1885/38 dated 23 October 2014. The other particulars and conditions in the Service Minute remain unchanged.
🔹 Main Amendment
The amendment revises Section 13.8 relating to the definition and qualifications of a “Bachelor of Education Graduate”.
- The degree must be a four-year full-time onsite programme and not an online degree programme.
- The degree programme must contain a minimum of 120 credits.
- The graduate must have completed at least 10 weeks of practical teaching training at a government national school, provincial school, or government-approved private school under qualified supervision or a panel of supervisors.
- The degree programme must include a research dissertation/report carrying a minimum of 6 credits.
The degree must have been obtained from a university established under the Universities Act or from a degree-awarding institution/university established under another special Act of Parliament.

අධ්යාපන, උසස් අධ්යාපන සහ වෘත්තීය අධ්යාපන අමාත්යාංශය විසින් ශ්රී ලංකා ගුරු සේවා ව්යවස්ථාවේ 05 වන සංශෝධනය නිකුත් කර ඇත.
මෙම සංශෝධනය මඟින් “අධ්යාපනවේදී උපාධිධාරියා” යන්නට අදාළ සුදුසුකම් සංශෝධනය කර ඇත.
අදාළ උපාධිය වසර 4ක පූර්ණකාලීන මාර්ගගත නොවන පාඨමාලාවක් වීම, අවම වශයෙන් සන්ධාර 120ක් සම්පූර්ණ කිරීම, අවම වශයෙන් සති 10ක ප්රායෝගික ඉගැන්වීම් පුහුණුවක් සම්පූර්ණ කිරීම සහ අවම වශයෙන් සන්ධාර 6ක පර්යේෂණ නිබන්ධනයක්/වාර්තාවක් සම්පූර්ණ කිරීම ඇතුළු කොන්දේසි මෙහි දක්වා ඇත.

கல்வி, உயர்கல்வி மற்றும் தொழிற்கல்வி அமைச்சினால் இலங்கை ஆசிரியர் சேவைப் பிரமாணக் குறிப்பின் 05 ஆம் திருத்தம் வெளியிடப்பட்டுள்ளது.
இந்தத் திருத்தத்தின் மூலம் “கல்விமானி பட்டதாரி / Bachelor of Education Graduate” என்பதற்கான தகைமைகள் திருத்தப்பட்டுள்ளன.
சம்பந்தப்பட்ட பட்டப்படிப்பு 4 வருட முழுநேர நேரடி (Online அல்லாத) கற்கைநெறியாக இருத்தல், குறைந்தபட்சம் 120 Credits நிறைவு செய்திருத்தல், குறைந்தது 10 வார நடைமுறை கற்பித்தல் பயிற்சியை நிறைவு செய்திருத்தல் மற்றும் குறைந்தபட்சம் 6 Credits கொண்ட ஆய்வுக் கட்டுரை அல்லது அறிக்கையை நிறைவு செய்திருத்தல் போன்ற நிபந்தனைகள் குறிப்பிடப்பட்டுள்ளன.
