What has changed?
The Ministry of Education, Higher Education and Vocational Education has issued Circular Amendment No. 29/2024 (II) concerning the Suraksha Student Insurance Scheme. It amends specified provisions of Circular No. 29/2024 dated 2 August 2024 and Amendment No. 29/2024 (I) dated 16 October 2025. Other terms and conditions remain unchanged.
- Health benefits: Amendments address scoliosis braces prescribed by specified practitioners, repair and servicing of hearing accessories (battery replacements excluded), Crohn disease/inflammatory bowel disease, chronic kidney disease, chronic inflammatory arthritis, specified screening tests, cancer treatment and related testing, accident related major hip/shoulder/knee surgery under general anaesthesia, and PET scans.
- Accident benefits: Reimbursement of expenses has a maximum annual benefit limit of Rs. 200,000.
- Student death benefit: A benefit of Rs. 100,000 applies in the circumstances specified in new section 2.2.1.4, including accidents and deaths during supervised activities or events organized by institutions under the relevant ministries, whether within or outside school premises.

සුරක්ෂා සිසු රක්ෂණ ක්රමයට අදාළ 29/2024 (II) චක්රලේඛ සංශෝධනය 2026 සැප්තැම්බර් 1 දින සිට ක්රියාත්මක වේ. සෞඛ්ය ප්රතිලාභ කිහිපයක් සංශෝධනය කර ඇති අතර අනතුරු සඳහා වියදම් ප්රතිපූරණයේ වාර්ෂික උපරිමය රු. 200,000 කි. නව 2.2.1.4 වගන්තියේ සඳහන් අවස්ථාවල සිසු මරණයක් සඳහා රු. 100,000 ක ප්රතිලාභයක් ද සඳහන් වේ. සම්පූර්ණ කොන්දේසි සඳහා නිල චක්රලේඛය කියවන්න.

சுரக்ஷா மாணவர் காப்புறுதித் திட்டத்துக்கான 29/2024 (II) சுற்றறிக்கைத் திருத்தம் 2026 செப்டெம்பர் 1 முதல் நடைமுறைக்கு வருகிறது. சில சுகாதார நன்மைகள் திருத்தப்பட்டுள்ளன. விபத்துச் செலவுகளுக்கான வருடாந்த மீளளிப்பு உச்சவரம்பு ரூ. 200,000 ஆகும். புதிய 2.2.1.4 பிரிவில் குறிப்பிடப்பட்ட சூழ்நிலைகளில் மாணவர் மரணத்திற்கான நன்மை ரூ. 100,000 ஆகும். முழுமையான நிபந்தனைகளுக்கு அதிகாரப்பூர்வ சுற்றறிக்கையைப் படிக்கவும்.
