Programme Overview

M.Sc. Programme is designed to teach how to operate effectively as practicing professionals with an in-depth managerial knowledge in finance.

The specializations within this M.Sc. Programme include Financial Mathematics, Actuarial Statistics, Basic Statistics, Quantitative Techniques, Decision Theory, Game Theory, Corporate Finance, Financial Data Analysis, Economics for Finance, Introduction to Marketing Management Information System, Multivariate Data Analysis, and R Programming Language for Statistical Computing.

Eligibility Requirements

1. A Bachelor's Honours degree of the University of Moratuwa, or
2. Any other four year degree in a relevant field from a recognized university as may be approved by the Senate, or
3. Any other three year degree in a relevant field from a recognized university, and a minimum period of one year of appropriate experience after obtaining such degree as may be approved by the Senate, or
4. Any recognized category of membership of a recognized Professional Institute obtained through an academic route and with a minimum of one year of recognized appropriate experience after obtaining such membership as may be approved by the Senate.

Duration & Fees

Lectures: Lectures will be conducted on Sundays.
