📢 Islam Dheeniyath (Dharmacharya)
Certificate Examination – 2025 (2026)

The Department of Examinations, Sri Lanka has called for applications for the Islam Dheeniyath (Dharmacharya) Certificate Examination – 2025 (2026), relating to the years 2024 and 2025.

🎓 Qualifications

Applicants should satisfy at least one of the following qualifications:

• Passed the Ahadhiyya Daham Pasal Final Certificate Examination conducted by the Department of Examinations.
• Hold a Moulavi Certificate issued by an Arabic College registered under the Department of Muslim Religious and Cultural Affairs.
• Passed the G.C.E. (A/L) Examination in three subjects, including either Islam or Islamic Civilization.
• Be a teacher with at least one year of teaching experience in an approved Ahadhiyya Daham Pasal or Arabic College and possess a Credit Pass in Islam at the G.C.E. (O/L) Examination, as specified in the official notice.

📝 Method of Application

Applications should be submitted through the Principal / Head of the relevant registered Ahadhiyya Daham Pasal or Arabic College.

The application should be prepared in two copies. The original should be submitted to the Commissioner General of Examinations and the second copy should be retained by the Principal.

💰 Examination Fee

The prescribed examination fee is Rs. 200. However, candidates appearing for the examination for the first time are exempted from this fee.

Candidates applying to complete an under-pass subject are required to pay Rs. 50 per subject.

📚 Examination Papers

The examination consists of five papers, with three hours allocated for each paper.
