The Ministry has officially published the district-wise vacancies for recruitment to Grade III of the Sri Lanka Principals Service for 2025/2026.
These vacancies will be filled based on the results of the limited competitive examination held on 07 June 2026 and the forthcoming interviews.
Vacancy figures are as at 05 October 2026 and cover national and provincial schools.

Important Recruitment Information
Recruitment: Sri Lanka Principals Service Grade III – 2025/2026.
Written Examination: 07 June 2026.
Vacancies as at: 05 October 2026.
Interview Selection: Candidates equal to twice the number of vacancies in each district and language medium will be called for interviews.
Interview Details: The list of qualified candidates, interview venue, time and required documents will be published later on the Ministry website.
Candidates listed as qualified should attend the interview. Notification letters will also be sent.
According to the Gazette, a candidate whose name appears on the qualified list may attend on the scheduled date, after identity verification, even if the notification letter is not received.
