The Public Service Commission has issued an amendment to the notification titled Open Competitive Examination for Recruitment to Grade III of the Sri Lanka Foreign Service – 2026, originally published in Gazette Extraordinary No. 2505 dated 4 September 2026.
The amendment introduces changes to the age requirement and application period.
1. Revised Age Requirements
Applicants must be not less than 22 years and not more than 35 years of age as at 6 October 2026.
Eligible Date of Birth:
From 6 October 1991 to
6 October 2004, both dates inclusive.
The maximum age limit is 40 years.
Accordingly, applicants must have been born on or after 6 October 1986.
Such applicants must also possess a satisfactory service record.
2. Revised Application Period

3. Other Conditions

Important: The date used for assessing eligibility remains 6 October 2026, despite the extension of the application deadline.
Candidates are advised to refer to the official Gazette amendment and original recruitment announcement before applying.

ශ්රී ලංකා විදේශ සේවයේ III ශ්රේණියට බඳවා ගැනීමේ විවෘත තරග විභාගය – 2026 සම්බන්ධ ගැසට් නිවේදනය සංශෝධනය කර ඇත.
2026 සැප්තැම්බර් 04 දිනැති අංක 2505 දරන ගැසට් පත්රයේ පළ කළ නිවේදනයට අදාළව මෙම සංශෝධනය නිකුත් කර ඇත.
2026.10.06 දිනට වයස අවුරුදු 22ට නොඅඩු සහ 35ට නොවැඩි විය යුතුය.
ඒ අනුව 1991.10.06 දින හෝ ඉන්පසු සහ 2004.10.06 දින හෝ ඊට පෙර උපන් අය අයදුම් කිරීමට සුදුසුකම් ලබයි.
ස්ථිර රාජ්ය සේවකයින් සඳහා:
උපරිම වයස් සීමාව අවුරුදු 40 කි.
1986.10.06 දින හෝ ඉන්පසු උපන් අය විය යුතු අතර සතුටුදායක සේවා වාර්තාවක් ද තිබිය යුතුය.
ආරම්භය: 2026.10.19 පෙ.ව. 9.00
අවසන් දිනය: 2026.10.30 ප.ව. 9.00
මුල් ගැසට් නිවේදනයේ අනෙකුත් සියලුම කරුණු නොවෙනස්ව පවතී.
සුදුසුකම් පරීක්ෂා කරනු ලබන දිනය 2026.10.06 ලෙසම පවතී.

இலங்கை வெளிநாட்டுச் சேவையின் தரம் III இற்கு ஆட்சேர்ப்பு செய்வதற்கான திறந்த போட்டிப் பரீட்சை – 2026 தொடர்பான வர்த்தமானி அறிவித்தலில் திருத்தங்கள் மேற்கொள்ளப்பட்டுள்ளன.
2026 செப்டெம்பர் 04 ஆம் திகதிய 2505 ஆம் இலக்க வர்த்தமானியில் வெளியிடப்பட்ட அறிவித்தலுக்கான திருத்தம் வெளியிடப்பட்டுள்ளது.
2026.10.06 ஆம் திகதியன்று விண்ணப்பதாரர்களின் வயது 22 வயதுக்குக் குறையாமலும் 35 வயதுக்கு மேற்படாமலும் இருத்தல் வேண்டும்.
பிறந்த திகதி:
1991.10.06 முதல் 2004.10.06 வரை, இரு திகதிகளும் உள்ளடங்கலாக.
நிரந்தர அரச ஊழியர்களுக்கு:
அதிகபட்ச வயதெல்லை 40 வயது ஆகும்.
1986.10.06 ஆம் திகதி அல்லது அதற்குப் பின்னர் பிறந்தவர்களாக இருத்தல் வேண்டும்.
மேலும் திருப்திகரமான சேவைப் பதிவைக் கொண்டிருத்தல் வேண்டும்.
ஆரம்பம்: 19.10.2026 காலை 9.00 மணி
முடிவு: 30.10.2026 இரவு 9.00 மணி
ஆரம்ப வர்த்தமானி அறிவித்தலில் குறிப்பிடப்பட்டுள்ள ஏனைய அனைத்து நிபந்தனைகளும் மாற்றமின்றித் தொடர்ந்தும் நடைமுறையில் இருக்கும்.
தகைமைகளைப் பரிசீலிப்பதற்கான திகதி 06.10.2026 ஆகவே மாற்றமின்றி இருக்கும்.
