📢 Asidisi Vidumaga 2026 – Entries Now Open
The Department of Government Information has invited entries for the Asidisi Vidumaga School Creative Competition – 2026. The annual competition is organised to enhance media literacy and encourage media-related creativity among school students.
Ten competition areas have been introduced for 2026, providing opportunities for students to demonstrate their talents in writing, photography, broadcasting, filmmaking and school media activities. A separate Research Paper Competition is also available exclusively for school teachers.
🏆 Awards
Winners will be selected according to the relevant competition, age category and language medium.
Certificates of Merit will also be awarded where applicable.
🎯 Competition List & Important Details
✍️ Theme may be selected by the contestant.
📖 Maximum: 2,500 words.
📚 Maximum two short stories per contestant.
📄 Application: Form 01.
🎬 Screenplay for a narrative short film.
⏱️ Film duration: 10–15 minutes.
🚫 Documentary screenplays are not accepted.

📸 Professional cameras and smartphones are accepted.

⚠️ Important General Conditions
✅ Student entries must be the student's own original work.
✅ The applicant must be a current student of the relevant school when the application is certified.
✅ The prescribed application form must accompany each entry.
✅ Student application forms must be certified and recommended by the school Principal with signature and official seal.
✅ A student may participate in more than one competition, but a separate application form must be submitted for each competition.
✅ Unless a specific competition states otherwise, a contestant may submit a maximum of two entries for one competition.

👩🏫 හොඳම පර්යේෂණ පත්රිකා තරගය පාසල් ගුරුවරුන් සඳහා පමණි.
📝 ශිෂ්ය අයදුම්පත් විදුහල්පතිගේ අත්සන සහ නිල මුද්රාව සහිතව නිර්දේශ කළ යුතුය.
