Recruitment of Visiting Lecturers – SLIATE
The Sri Lanka Institute of Advanced Technological Education (SLIATE), operating under the Ministry of Education, Higher Education and Vocational Education, invites applications from suitably qualified persons to serve as Visiting Lecturers for the 2026 First Semester.
Visiting lecturers are required for subjects offered under Higher National Diploma programmes conducted at Advanced Technological Institutes (ATIs) around Sri Lanka.
Priority will be given to applicants who are willing to visit the relevant ATI to conduct lectures and contribute to question-paper setting and paper marking.
Preference and Eligibility
- Applicants should possess educational and professional qualifications relevant to the subject they intend to teach.
- Preference will be given to degree holders or applicants with higher qualifications in the relevant field.
- Preference may also be given to qualified applicants residing within the district or province of the relevant ATI.
- Applicants should contact the relevant ATI to obtain information about available subjects.
- Applicants employed in government departments or statutory bodies must forward their applications through the Head of the Department.

Applications may be submitted to the relevant ATI that conducts the selected HND programme.
How to Apply
- Download and complete the official application form.
- Select the relevant ATI, HND programme and subject area in the application.
- Send the completed application to the relevant Advanced Technological Institute by registered post.
- Write “Visiting Lecturer Application” on the top-left corner of the envelope.
- Email a copy of the completed application to visitinglec@sliate.ac.lk.
- Applications must reach the relevant ATI on or before 27 September 2026.
