Applications are invited to Join as an Officer Short Course (Diploma) to the Regular Force of Sri Lanka Army

Qualifications
  • Passed GCE O/L and GCE A/L

OTHER QUALIFICATIONS
  • Sports, Leaderships and other achievements (District, Provincial, National and International levels, and Proficiency of in other languages (other than Sinhala and English )will be considered as an added qualification

PAY AND ALLOWANCES OTHER BENEFITS
  • Monthly pay of Officer Cadet (Including allowances) Rs. 101,988.80
  • Officer Cadets will be entitled to fringe benefits, covering expenses for transport, uniforms, medical and accommodation.
  • Those who successfully complete the Officer Cadet Course will be com- missioned in the rank of Second Lieutenant.
  • They will also receive opportunities of serving in UN Peacekeeping Missions, training at foreign military academies and to follow advanced Foreign Courses.

Application for Supra Grade MSO Service - 2025


Applications are called for the Competitive examination for promotion to the Supra Grade of Management Services Officers Service on Merit.

Closing Date - 11.08.2025

50% of the vacancies existed in the Supra Grade of Management Services Officers’ Service shall be filled by promotion on merit.

Qualifications
  • Shall be an officer who has completed at least an active and satisfactory service period of 05 years in the Grade I of Management Services Officers’ Service as at the closing date of applications.
  • Shall have not been subjected to any disciplinary punishment as per the provisions of Public Service Commission Circular No: 01/2020 as at the said date. 
  • Shall have completed the relevant Efficiency Bar examination as at the prescribed date.

Duly completed applications should be forwarded through the respective Head of Department/ Secretary of the Ministry to reach the Commissioner General of Examinations

Special Grade Promotion Application - SLAS


Applications are invited for the Promotion of officers in Grade I of Sri Lanka Administrative Service to Special Grade.

Closing Date - 24.07.2025

Qualifications
  • Having a post graduate degree from a University recognized by the University Grants Commission or from an institute recognized by the University Grants Commission as a degree awarding institute at least in one of the fields such as Public Administration, Management, Public Policies, Human Resource Management, Economics, Development Economics, Social Development, Law, Financial Management, Project Planning and Management, Information Technology or other fields approved by the Public Service Commission on the recommendation of the Secretary of the Ministry in charge of the subject of Public Administration as appropriate to obtain knowledge and skills to perform multi management functions entrusted to the officers in Sri Lanka Administrative Service.
  • Having completed an active and satisfactory service period of five years in Grade One (I) of the service as at the date of promotion and earned five (05) increments after being promoted to Grade One (I) and being an Officer in active service as of 01.07.2025
  • Having completed an active period of service not less than eighteen (18) years as at the date of promotion.
  • Having an annual performance of satisfactory level or above satisfactory level throughout the period of five (05) years immediately preceding the date of promotion according to the approved performance appraisal scheme.
  • Shall have not been subjected to disciplinary punishments as per the provisions of Public Service Commission Circular No: 01/2020.
  • Having passed the third efficiency bar examination as at the due date or being exempted from the same.
