📢 National Child Protection Authority Recruitment 2026
Applications are invited from qualified citizens of Sri Lanka for several vacancies available at the National Child Protection Authority (NCPA).
Vacancies are available for graduates, candidates with professional qualifications and eligible drivers. A total of 35 vacancies have been announced.
💼 Available Vacancies
1. Board Secretary – JM 1-1
01 PostQualification: Degree recognized by the University Grants Commission with relevant post-qualifying experience, or relevant recognized professional qualifications with required experience.
Age: 22 – 45 years for external applicants.
Basic Salary from 01.01.2027: Rs. 72,650
2. Psychosocial Officer – JM 1-1
01 PostQualification: Bachelor's Degree in Psychology / Sociology recognized by the UGC and a Diploma in Counselling from a recognized institution.
Computer literacy and ability to work with Excel and SPSS will be an added advantage.
Age: 22 – 45 years for external applicants.
Basic Salary from 01.01.2027: Rs. 72,650
3. Investigation Assistant – MA 3
02 PostsQualification: Bachelor's Degree in Criminology recognized by the University Grants Commission.
Age: 23 – 45 years.
Basic Salary from 01.01.2027: Rs. 53,940
4. Programme Assistant – MA 3
02 PostsQualification: Bachelor's Degree in Sociology, Social Sciences, Health Promotion or another relevant field recognized by the UGC.
A one-year diploma relevant to children recognized by the University Grants Commission is preferred.
Age: 23 – 45 years.
Basic Salary from 01.01.2027: Rs. 53,940
5. Cyber Watch Assistant – MA 3
01 PostQualifications – One of the following:
✔ Bachelor's Degree in Information Technology recognized by the UGC.
OR
✔ Bachelor's Degree together with a Diploma in Information Technology recognized by the UGC.
Age: 23 – 45 years.
Basic Salary from 01.01.2027: Rs. 53,940
6. Divisional Child Protection Officer – MA 3
25 PostsQualification: Degree in Social Sciences or another relevant degree recognized by the University Grants Commission.
A one-year Diploma in Counselling recognized by the UGC or Tertiary and Vocational Education Commission will be an added advantage.
Age: 23 – 45 years.
Basic Salary from 01.01.2027: Rs. 53,940
7. Planning Assistant – MA 3
01 PostQualification: Bachelor's Degree in Management, Social Sciences or another relevant field recognized by the University Grants Commission.
Age: 23 – 45 years.
Basic Salary from 01.01.2027: Rs. 53,940
8. Driver – PL 3
02 PostsEducational Qualification: Passed six subjects at the G.C.E. (O/L) Examination with at least two credit passes in a maximum of two sittings.
Driving Licence: Valid licence issued by the Department of Motor Traffic for driving heavy vehicles.
Experience: Minimum 03 years of driving experience after obtaining the licence.
Age: 18 – 45 years for external applicants.
Basic Salary from 01.01.2027: Rs. 43,280
💰 Salary & Allowances
Salaries will be paid according to the relevant approved salary scales.
Apart from the basic salary, employees will receive the government-approved cost of living allowance.
The Authority will also contribute 12% to EPF and 3% to ETF in accordance with applicable provisions.
📝 Recruitment Procedure
Board Secretary, Psychosocial Officer, Investigation Assistant, Programme Assistant, Cyber Watch Assistant, Divisional Child Protection Officer and Planning Assistant:
Recruitment will be made through a written competitive examination and/or structured interview conducted by a panel appointed by the National Child Protection Authority.
Driver: Recruitment will be based on a Trade Test and Structured Interview.

✔ Applicants should possess good character.
✔ Applicants should be physically and mentally fit to discharge the duties of the post.
✔ Selected applicants should be willing to serve in any part of Sri Lanka.
✔ Separate applications should be submitted when applying for more than one position.
✔ Government and Statutory Body employees should forward their applications through the Heads of their institutions.
✔ Incomplete, illegible or applications that do not meet the required qualifications may be rejected without notice.
✔ Any form of canvassing will result in disqualification.
