English Language Content Development – Resource Persons’ Pool

The English and Foreign Languages Branch of the Ministry of Education, Higher Education and Vocational Education is establishing a pool of resource persons for English language content development.

Applications are invited from eligible candidates. Shortlisted applicants will be required to sit for a selection test as the final stage of the selection process.

Basic Qualifications

• Applicants must be between 25 and 55 years of age.
• Applicants must possess a Bachelor’s degree in English, English Language Teaching (ELT), or Education (TESL).
• SLTES English officers may apply.
• English In-Service Advisers may apply.
• RESC resource persons may apply.
• Government English language teachers may apply.

Additional Qualifications

• A Master’s degree in English or TESOL will be considered an added qualification.
• Previous experience in ELT content development or working as a resource person will be considered an added qualification.

Application Procedure

1. Download and complete the official application form.
2. Prepare a soft copy of the completed application.
3. Email the completed application to englishunitmoe@gmail.com.

Selection Process

• Eligible applications will be shortlisted.
• Shortlisted applicants will be notified by the Ministry.
• The final selection test will be held in Colombo.
• Selected candidates will receive training in content development.
• They will be called for content-development assignments by the Ministry when required.
