📢 Recruitment Notice 2026
The Department of Technical Education and Training (DTET), under the Ministry of Education, Higher Education and Vocational Education, invites applications from qualified Sri Lankan citizens for the post of Field Assistant (Laborer), Grade III, Primary Non-Skilled Service Category.
A total of 99 vacancies will be filled through open recruitment. The official announcement was published in the Government Gazette dated 02 October 2026, Part I, Section II(A).
📋 Vacancy Details
🎓 Educational Qualifications
- Applicants must have passed at least six subjects at the G.C.E. Ordinary Level Examination.
- At least two credit passes are required.
- These results must have been obtained in not more than two sittings.
- Relevant vocational qualifications and work experience will receive preference.
- Applicants must be Sri Lankan citizens of good character and physically and mentally fit to perform the duties.
🎂 Age Requirements
Applicants must be not less than 18 years and not more than 45 years of age as at the application closing date, 30 October 2026.
💰 Salary Scale
The position carries the monthly salary scale PL 1-2025, under Public Administration Circular No. 10/2025:
The appointment is permanent and pensionable, subject to applicable government policy decisions and service conditions. A three-year probationary period applies.

Qualified applicants will be selected according to the marks obtained at a structured interview conducted by an appointed assessment panel.
