🇬🇧 English – Course Details

Applications are invited from journalists for a free Sign Language Training Course organized by the National Secretariat for Persons with Disabilities, functioning under the Ministry of Rural Development, Social Security and Community Empowerment.

The programme is being implemented with the approval of the National Council for Persons with Disabilities, in accordance with the government's policy of promoting an inclusive society and equitable access for persons with disabilities.

Objectives of the Programme

• Improve journalists' knowledge of sign language.
• Facilitate effective communication for people with hearing and speech disabilities through the media.
• Support the communication of their opinions, experiences and concerns to the wider public.
• Promote accessible and inclusive media communication.

Eligibility: Journalists who currently work in media institutions and are interested in learning sign language may apply.

How to Apply

1. Access the application through the Google Form link or download the application form.
2. Complete all required information accurately.
3. Email the completed application to mssnspd@gmail.com according to the instructions issued by the National Secretariat.
4. Submit the application on or before 27 October 2026.

The programme aims to strengthen media accessibility and inclusive communication.

ග්‍රාමීය සංවර්ධන, සමාජ ආරක්ෂණ හා ප්‍රජා සවිබලගැන්වීම් අමාත්‍යාංශය යටතේ ක්‍රියාත්මක ආබාධ සහිත තැනැත්තන් සඳහා වන ජාතික මහලේකම් කාර්යාලය විසින් මාධ්‍යවේදීන් සඳහා නොමිලේ සංඥා භාෂා පුහුණු පාඨමාලාවක් පැවැත්වීමට සැලසුම් කර ඇත.

ශ්‍රවණ හා කථන ආබාධ සහිත පුද්ගලයන්ගේ අදහස් හා අත්දැකීම් ජනමාධ්‍ය ඔස්සේ වඩාත් ඵලදායී ලෙස සමාජයට සන්නිවේදනය කිරීම සඳහා මාධ්‍යවේදීන්ගේ සංඥා භාෂා දැනුම වර්ධනය කිරීම මෙම වැඩසටහනේ ප්‍රධාන අරමුණ වේ.

අයදුම් කළ හැක්කේ: දැනට මාධ්‍ය ආයතනවල සේවය කරන, සංඥා භාෂාව ඉගෙනීමට උනන්දුවක් දක්වන මාධ්‍යවේදීන්ටය.

கிராமிய அபிவிருத்தி, சமூகப் பாதுகாப்பு மற்றும் சமூக வலுவூட்டல் அமைச்சின் கீழ் இயங்கும் மாற்றுத்திறனாளிகளுக்கான தேசிய செயலகத்தினால் ஊடகவியலாளர்களுக்கான இலவச சைகை மொழிப் பயிற்சி நெறிக்கு விண்ணப்பங்கள் கோரப்படுகின்றன.

செவித்திறன் மற்றும் பேச்சுத்திறன் குறைபாடுள்ள நபர்களின் கருத்துகள் மற்றும் அனுபவங்களை ஊடகங்கள் மூலம் சிறப்பாகத் தெரிவிப்பதற்கு உதவும் வகையில் ஊடகவியலாளர்களின் சைகை மொழி அறிவை மேம்படுத்துவது இப்பயிற்சியின் முக்கிய நோக்கமாகும்.
