The Ministry of Education, Higher Education and Vocational Education has called applications from eligible teachers serving in Government and Government Approved Private Schools for admission to State Universities to follow selected First Degree programmes during the 2025/2026 Academic Year.

• Bachelor of Arts Degree (English as a Subject)

• Must be serving in a Government or Government Approved Private School.
• Must have passed the relevant General Arts Qualifying (External) or First Examination of the relevant External Degree in 2021 or later.
• Must have completed at least five (05) years of confirmed teaching service by the closing date.
• Should not be currently registered in a Teachers' Training College, National College of Education, National Institute of Education or a Government University internal degree programme.
• Must be eligible for full-time paid study leave.

• Selection is based on examination marks and interview marks conducted by the University Grants Commission (UGC).
• Applications must be submitted in duplicate.
