Abolition of Professional Review from Teachers' Promotion

Ministry of Education has sent a letter dated on 01.01.2024 to Secretaries of Public Service Commissions, Provincial education Secretaries, Directors of Provincial Education and Zonal Directors of education.

Teachers who get promotion from 22.10.2022 to 01.01.2024 will be free from this Criteria and get promotion Without Professional Review.

Concession Period Will be given to the teachers who get promotion during 01.01.2024 to 31.12.2024. They can Complete the professional review after the promotion.

Compulsory Teacher Transfer of National Schools - 6-years Service (from 2028)

Education Ministry says the compulsory Teacher transfer Service Period for national school teachers will be reduced gradually from this year.

Maximum Service Period in a National School will be 6 years from 2028.
