Vacancy - Commissioner of Ayurveda ( Western Province)

Applications are called from eligible applicants in Sri Lanka Ayurvedic Medical Service (Administration - Grade I) for the post of Provincial Commissioner of Ayurveda in the Department of Ayurveda of Western Province Only if qualified officers of the Sri Lanka Ayurvedic Medical Service (Administration - Grade I) are not available to be appointed to this position, applications are also called from officers of the Sri Lanka Ayurvedic Medical Service (Administration - Grade II) to attend to duties of the relevant post until an officer is permanently appointed to that post.

A/L Vocational Stream Application 2025 - Step 02

Applications are called for Step 2 of student admissions to Grade 12 under the A/L Vocational Stream. Students may apply for admission to schools (School List Attached Below) that will implement the Vocational Stream 2025 onwards.

Success (pass) or failure (fail) of the student at the G.C.E O/L examination is not considered in enrolling students to this stream.

Under the Vocational Stream, upon undergoing studies in respective schools in Grade 12, students will be able to complete a National Vocational Qualification (NVQ) level 04 course under one of the following subject areas in Grade 13.

NVQ 6 Certificates for HNDQS & HNDE (SLIATE)

Sri Lanka Institute of Technology (SLIATE) has been granted accreditation to award NVQ6 certificates for HNDQS and HNDE

The Sri Lanka Institute of Technology (SLIATE) has granted accreditation to award NVQ Level 6 equivalent certificates for the two Higher National Diploma courses namely Higher National Diploma in Quantity Surveying and Higher National Diploma in English (HNDQS & HNDE).

It was decided during the meeting of the Board of Directors No. 2025/05/303 held on 8th July 2025 that the above two courses are in compliance with NVQ Level 6 standards. Accordingly, for the successful completion of Mathematics and English Diploma courses, applicants are required to submit a copy of the final certificate attested by the Director/Principal/Director General of SUATE along with a fee of Rs. 1000. The circular in this regard will be effective from 2025.07.09.
