Vacancy - PDE - Central province

Applications are hereby invited from Sri Lanka Education Administrative Service Grade I officers who are presently engaging in Public Service and Provincial Public Service with following qualifications for the forthcoming vacancy in the Post of Provincial Director of Education to Provincial Department of Education of Central Provincial Council.

Closing Date 22.08.2025

Qualifications :

Shall be an officer of Grade I of the Sri Lanka Education Administrative Service with a not less than 05 years of satisfactory service.
Age limit is not applicable as applications are called only from the officers presently engaging in Public/Provincial Public Service.
Shall have completed the required qualifications for recruitment to the post by the closing date of applications.
Shall not be a person, subjected to any disciplinary punishment as per the provisions in Public Service Commission Circular No: 01/2020 and 01/2020(I).

Online Information System - Kandy Esala Perahera

Sri Lanka Police has introduced online information system on Kandy Esala Perahera.

The historic Esala Perahera, which is held annually at the Sri Dalada Maligaya in Kandy, is scheduled to begin on 30.07.2025 and continue until 08.08.2025. A large number of local and foreign people are expected to participate in this perahera. Therefore, the Sri Lanka Police has planned to implement a special security and traffic plan for this.

Accordingly, the Sri Lanka Police has introduced the 'Kandy Esala Perahera - 2025' information management system for the convenience of the public visiting the Dalada Perahera. The public using this will also be able to obtain live information regarding

parking lots
the route of the Perahera
places where the Perahera can be viewed
places where sanitary facilities can be provided
places where people who have missed out on the procession can be met.

Lake House has initiated a programme named as an official newspaper for your school.

For whom?

For the talented writers and speakers within the school system
for the students who want to become presenters
for anyone who wants to write for a newspaper
for those who want to work with videos, and even for the little ones who like playing with a camera.

How does it work?

Twenty talented students from the school will be selected and brought to Lake House for a free media training workshop, where we will practically teach how to use your talents to contribute to the school newspaper.

Not only that-we'll also show how to create an online e-newspaper powered by video technology. So, to collect the information needed for your school's official newspaper, to document your talents, and to gather content for your e-newspaper, the Lake House Department of Government Relations media team will visit your school and work directly with you.

The 12-page newspaper created by you will be printed on 70gsm Off Paper and distributed alongside the 'DailyNews", Dinamina and thinakaran national newspaper in your province. Also,the digital e-paper will be available on your mobile device for sharing with everyone.
