Programme Overview
The Faculty of Agriculture, Eastern University, Sri Lanka invites applications from eligible Diploma Holders in Agriculture for admission to the B.Sc. Agriculture Degree under the Special Entry provision for public officers for the academic year 2025/2026.

Limited to 5% over the regular batch intake
The date and nature of the written examination will be notified to qualified applicants after applications are shortlisted.
Eligibility Criteria
Applicants must be permanent employees of an eligible organization and satisfy all the following requirements:
- Diploma: A two-year Diploma in Agriculture from a School of Agriculture of the Department of Agriculture or an Advanced Technological Institute.
- G.C.E. O/L: Six passes in one sitting, including four credit passes with Science and Mathematics.
- G.C.E. A/L - Old Syllabus: Passes in at least three subjects in one sitting from Botany, Zoology, Chemistry, Physics, Pure Mathematics, Applied Mathematics and Agriculture; or
- G.C.E. A/L - New Syllabus: Passes in at least three subjects in one sitting from Biology, Chemistry, Physics, Combined Mathematics and Agriculture.
- Experience: At least five years of experience, as at the closing date, as a permanent employee in the government or private sector in the field of Agriculture after obtaining the Diploma in Agriculture.
How to Apply
- Download and complete the official application form.
- Deposit Rs. 1,000 to Account No. 227-1001-40000-024, People's Bank, Chenkalady Branch, in favour of the Bursar, Eastern University, Sri Lanka.
- Attach the bank slip to the completed application.
- Forward the application through the respective Head of Institution.
- Ensure it reaches the address below on or before 30 September 2026.

ශ්රී ලංකා නැගෙනහිර විශ්වවිද්යාලයේ කෘෂිකර්ම පීඨය විසින් රාජ්ය නිලධාරීන් සඳහා වන විශේෂ ප්රවේශය යටතේ 2025/2026 කෘෂිකර්ම විද්යාවේදී උපාධි පාඨමාලාවට කෘෂිකර්ම ඩිප්ලෝමාධාරීන්ගෙන් අයදුම්පත් කැඳවනු ලැබේ.
- පාඨමාලා කාලය: අධ්යයන වර්ෂ 4යි
- ඉගැන්වීම් මාධ්යය: ඉංග්රීසි
- තෝරා ගැනීම: ලිඛිත පරීක්ෂණය සහ සම්මුඛ පරීක්ෂණය
- අදාළ කෘෂිකර්ම ඩිප්ලෝමාව ලබාගැනීමෙන් පසු කෘෂිකර්ම ක්ෂේත්රයේ ස්ථිර සේවකයෙකු ලෙස අවම වශයෙන් වසර 5ක පළපුරුද්ද අවශ්ය වේ.
- අයදුම් ගාස්තුව: රු. 1,000
- අවසන් දිනය: 2026 සැප්තැම්බර් 30

- பயிற்றுமொழி: ஆங்கிலம்
- தெரிவு: எழுத்துப் பரீட்சை மற்றும் நேர்முகப் பரீட்சை
- விவசாய டிப்ளோமாவைப் பெற்ற பின்னர் விவசாயத் துறையில் நிரந்தர ஊழியராக குறைந்தது 5 வருட அனுபவம் அவசியம்.
- விண்ணப்பக் கட்டணம்: ரூ. 1,000
- முடிவுத் திகதி: 30 செப்டெம்பர் 2026
