Scholarship Details

Applications are invited from eligible Sri Lankan applicants for the award of 01 Undergraduate Scholarship offered by the Republic of Serbia under “The World in Serbia” Project.

Selected candidates will study the Serbian Language during 2026/2027 and enroll in undergraduate studies in the academic year 2027/2028.

General Eligibility Requirements

• Applicant should be a citizen of Sri Lanka.
• Age should be less than 21 years as at 26.06.2026.
• Should have minimum three passes at G.C.E. A/L Examination 2025 in Physical Science stream.
• Should possess good knowledge of English.
• Should have obtained a “C” pass in English at G.C.E. A/L Examination or equivalent.
• Should be in good health and ready to live in Serbia during the period of study.
• Should not be registered or following a course at a state university in Sri Lanka as an internal student.

Scholarship Benefits

• Free preparatory Serbian language classes.
• Tuition fees waived.
• Monthly scholarship of RSD 18,000.00.
• Free accommodation and food in student standard institutions.
• Mandatory healthcare insurance for scholarship recipients under 26 years of age.

• Travel expenses are not included.
• Public city transportation costs are not included.
• Textbooks and study material costs are not included.
• Exam registration fees and other administrative charges are not included.
• Selection will be based on merit order of Z-score of qualified applicants.
• Final selection will be made by the Republic of Serbia.
