Available Positions
01. Head of IT
Qualifications and Experience
Master’s Degree in Computer Science & Engineering, Computer
Science & Networking or a related field, with a minimum of
three years of relevant experience in a managerial position.
OR
Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science & Engineering, Computer
Science & Networking or a related field, with six years of
relevant experience in a managerial position.
OR
Professional membership of the Computer Society of Sri Lanka
(CSSL), with six years of relevant experience in a managerial
position.
OR
Relevant NVQ Level 7 qualification, with eight years of relevant
experience in a managerial position.
Additional Requirements
- In-depth knowledge of IT infrastructure, cybersecurity, Cisco and emerging technologies.
- Strong problem-solving skills and ability to make critical decisions in a fast-paced environment.
- Excellent communication, interpersonal and leadership skills.
- Ability to collaborate with cross-functional teams and external partners.
Duties and Responsibilities
- Strategic leadership: Develop and execute the company’s IT strategy in line with its business goals.
- Team management: Lead, mentor and inspire the IT team while promoting excellence and innovation.
- Infrastructure management: Oversee networks, servers and data storage to ensure performance and scalability.
- Security and compliance: Protect systems and data and ensure compliance with relevant standards.
- Technology innovation: Evaluate and implement modern solutions that improve efficiency and competitiveness.
- Budget and resource management: Manage the IT budget, resources and costs.
- Vendor relationships: Work with technology vendors, negotiate contracts and manage partnerships.
- Digitalization and automation: Plan, implement and manage digitalization and process-automation initiatives.
Age limit: Applicants should be below 55 years of age as of the closing date.
02. Assistant Electrical Engineer
Qualifications and Experience
Degree in Electrical & Electronic Engineering or a related
field from a local or foreign university recognized by the
University Grants Commission of Sri Lanka, with three years of
relevant experience in an executive or higher position.
OR
Professional qualification from the Institution of Engineers,
Sri Lanka, or another recognized professional qualification in
Electrical Engineering, with three years of relevant experience
in an executive or higher position.
OR
Part qualification in a relevant recognized professional programme,
with a minimum of six years of relevant experience in an executive
position.
OR
HND, NDT or an equivalent Diploma in Electrical & Electronic
Engineering, with four years of relevant experience in an executive
or higher position.
Additional Requirements
- Experience in maintaining air-conditioning systems will be an added advantage.
- Exposure to tender and procurement procedures, cost control and budgeting is advantageous.
- Knowledge of electrical and electronic systems, motor controls, installations, transformers and generators.
- Knowledge of preventive maintenance, PLC systems, automation and electrical control panels.
- Strong troubleshooting ability.
Responsibilities
- Troubleshoot and diagnose electrical-system faults and ensure timely rectification.
- Assist with preventive maintenance work relating to electrical systems.
- Ensure electrical work complies with applicable safety standards and regulations.
- Assist with upgrading and modernization projects.
- Coordinate facilities and maintenance activities with the relevant parties.
03. Digital Journalist Grade III – Sinhala
Accepted Qualification Routes
Diploma in Journalism, Mass Communication, Multimedia or Video
Editing, with two years of experience in journalism, content
creation or video editing.
OR
NVQ Level 4 or 5 in Multimedia or Video Production, with three or
two years of experience respectively in journalism, content
creation or video editing.
OR
G.C.E. A/L with a Certificate in Journalism, Multimedia or Video
Editing, together with four years of relevant experience.
OR
G.C.E. O/L with a Certificate in Journalism, Multimedia or Video
Editing, together with seven years of relevant experience.
Language requirement: Proficiency in Sinhala.
04. Digital Journalist Grade III – English
Accepted Qualification Routes
Diploma in Journalism, Mass Communication, Multimedia or Video
Editing, with two years of experience in journalism, content
creation or video editing.
OR
NVQ Level 4 or 5 in Multimedia or Video Production, with three or
two years of experience respectively in journalism, content
creation or video editing.
OR
G.C.E. A/L with a Certificate in Journalism, Multimedia or Video
Editing, together with four years of relevant experience.
OR
G.C.E. O/L with a Certificate in Journalism, Multimedia or Video
Editing, together with seven years of relevant experience.
Language requirement: Proficiency in English.
05. Digital Journalist Grade III – Tamil
Accepted Qualification Routes
Diploma in Journalism, Mass Communication, Multimedia or Video
Editing, with two years of experience in journalism, content
creation or video editing.
OR
NVQ Level 4 or 5 in Multimedia or Video Production, with three or
two years of experience respectively in journalism, content
creation or video editing.
OR
G.C.E. A/L with a Certificate in Journalism, Multimedia or Video
Editing, together with four years of relevant experience.
OR
G.C.E. O/L with a Certificate in Journalism, Multimedia or Video
Editing, together with seven years of relevant experience.
Language requirement: Proficiency in Tamil.
06. Digital Journalist Grade III – Videographer cum Drone Operator
Accepted Qualification Routes
Diploma in Videography, Video Editing, Drone Operations, UAV
Management or Aerial Photography from a recognized institution,
with a minimum of two years of experience in video editing or
aerial photography.
OR
NVQ Level 4 or 5 in Videography, Video Editing, Drone Operations,
UAV Management or Aerial Photography from a recognized institution,
with a minimum of four or three years of experience respectively in
video editing or aerial photography.
OR
Passed G.C.E. O/L with a qualification in Videography, Video
Editing, Drone Operations, UAV Management or Aerial Photography
from a recognized institution, together with at least seven years
of experience in video editing or aerial photography.
Core Requirements for Digital Media Positions
- Experience in digital content creation for websites, social media and multimedia platforms.
- Strong news sense and programme-production skills.
- Proficiency in video editing and videography.
- Ability to work under tight deadlines.
- Proficiency in Sinhala, English or Tamil, according to the position applied for.
