Qualifications

For M.Phil (leading to Ph.D)

1. Two Year Masters’ Degree in Education (SLQF 10) from a university or institution recognized by the UGC with substantial research component.

2. Master of Education Degree (SLQF 9) from a university or institution recognized by the UGC

3. Bachelor of Education Degree (SLQF 6) from a university or institution recognized by the UGC with First or Second Class (Upper Division)

4. Bachelors’ Degree (SLQF 5 or 6) from a university or institution recognized by the UGC with First Class and Postgraduate Diploma in Education

For Direct entry to Ph.D

1. Master of Philosophy Degree in the field of Education (SLQF 11) of not less than two years’ duration

2. Bachelors’ Degree in Education or Postgraduate Diploma in Education with a Masters’ Degree of not less than two years with at least one-year research component related to Education
